Tony blamed himself more than he should.

He couldn't move on after five years.

Why?

Because it hurt.

The day he told Pepper about the dream he had, the one about their child, he was so happy. He never thought happiness was something he could ever obtain. Before he became Iron Man, he didn't care much for it.

Until he met Pepper. Pepper was the person that filled part of the hole that his father had dug in his heart that he for such a long time tried to fill.

When he became an Avenger, he became part of a a family. He just hadn't known that yet.

When he met Peter, he became a father. He hadn't known that at the moment either. He didn't realize how much he cared for him. If some asked Tony who we cared for the most, he would say,

"Pepper Potts, Peter Parker, and the Avengers"

When Peter had turned into dust in his arms, Tony felt so guilty. He knew Peter wouldn't want him to feel that way, but he just did.

So when they were all fighting Thanos and his army (again) and he saw Peter swoop down next to him, emotions he was never able to express overtook him. He hugged Peter, who was rambling on about God knew what. It didn't matter to Tony.

The only thing that mattered was that Peter was back.

His kid was back.

The person that too helped fill the hole in his heart was back.

It was the only thing that mattered right then and there.

When Tony was fighting Thanos, trying to get the stones off of him, Tony knew that the power of them after the snap would kill him. FRIDAY knew too. That's why when Tony grabbed all the stones, FRIDAY separated the glove off of Tony's suit, and made it snap herself. FRIDAY sacrificed herself for Tony. He appreciated it.

As Thanos and his troops slowly began to disintegrate into dust, Tony fell to the floor from exhaustion and watched the scene unfold from there. The fight was over. As Doctor Strange looked at Tony, he pointed his finger straight up. He knew there was only one. This was the one.

No one would have thought FRIDAY was the one that saved them all, but they still appreciated what she did for them, although she was an AI. Even though she was an AI, she had grown on everyone, and unless Tony was able to bring her back, everyone would miss her.

Tony could go back home to Morgan now.

He could go back for Peter too. And Pepper.

Not to mention the Avengers.

Steve stood on a mound as everyone that was fighting stopped to watch.

"We won," Steve said

"Now we can go home"
