How did you hear about Wattpad?

I wasn't looking for a site like this, I was just going my casual surf through my facebook timeline, or newsfeed or whatever it's called nowadays, when I saw a link to a one direction fan fiction. I couldn't possibly tell you what it was called or what is was about, ashamed to say that I never read it or stayed on the page for more than a few moments before I explored. long story short, facebook;)

Have you ever considered writing professionally?

I would absolutely love to. I'm an English nut and writing for the rest of my life would just be fantastic. Unfortunately, I think I lack in ability so am going to go down the teaching route.

(AN- She certainly does not lack in ability! How modest of her:D)

Where do you find your inspiration?

In the weirdest things. Never in my life have I dreamed up one of my ideas or been somewhere and had an idea so life changing that I literally dropped my bags of shopping to find a notepad and write it down. I wish I was that interesting. It's usually a line on tv or something I read that spikes one idea.

Do you have a favourite author?

I have a variety of favourite authors, my bookshelf is chock a block with loads of different ones, so I don't think I have a top favourite, but I'll list a couple? Jenny Downham, Janna Oliver, Nicholas Sparks and Becca Fitzpatrick.

Do you have a favourite book on Wattpad?

I'm not really a watty reader, I follow 'Illegal My Ass', though.

How did you come up with the plot for 'She's Broken'?

I know of someone that went through something traumatic, so I decided to research a bit into the tragedies and thought that something like that should be written down for people to see.

'She's Broken' is my favourite book of all time right now. Will there be romance blossoming between Eli and Kat? (Please say there is!)

Aha, thanks! That would be spoiling it;)

(AN- Nooooooooo! My own curiosity is killing me! D: )

'She's Broken' is a little different compared to a few of your other stories such as 'Bad Boy Isn't My Type...', what made you go down a different route?

My first ever book on here was 'Beating You', which was more of a deeper read and after writing something lighthearted and somewhat humorous in bad boy, I wanted to go back to something where I could write properly, make the descriptions and proper character development happen. The occasional challenge is refreshing.

Your book 'Beating You' is your most popular, did you enjoy writing this one the most?

Nope. Beating You was my first on here, which will always kind of make it special, but I enjoyed writing bad boy the most. It sprung up on reads and likes all of a sudden, which was surprising and I got to put a little bit of my sense of humour in there, making it different and more fun to write.

Did you ever expect for your books to become as popular as they are?

Definitely not. I've never been confident or a sharer in my writing, it's always been something personal. I was expecting to make a profile, have it ignored and then never visit it again. When my books started to become more popular, it was a really, really strange thing. Exciting, but strange for me to have so many people like it.

What advice would you give to budding authors on Wattpad?

My advice is actually shocking. No word of a lie, I'd be wattpad's worst agony aunt. All the advice I give in my interviews is literally identical, I can never think of anything else. Just write for yourself, not other people. Your voice and passion come through in something that you want to write and will enjoy writing, if that's not there, your reader is going to tell and become even less interested in it than you are. Yeah... you'll find that in every other interview of mine, talk about creative;)

Do you have anything to say to your fans?

There is nothing that I really can say apart from thank you so, so much. Cliche and predictable, but that's how I roll with acknowledgements;) The support, likes and comments mean so much, it's really amazing so thank you.

Why should we read your books? (Apart from the fact that they are fabulous)

Now that right there is something I have never been asked. You know I said I'm crap with advice? My advertising is just as awful. Um, I try to write things that other people are scared to touch on, highlighting some of the things that happen out there that people don't really know about. Plus, read 'em because I'm friendly and provide some really motivating author's notes;)

Any other comments?

Any last words?;) Not really, I've bored everyone for long enough. Thanks for the interview and if you're reading this, hope it was worth your time:P

AN- Check out her books guys! You will not regret it! ~Megs x
