My eyes gradually fluttered open as I woke up to the sound of unfamiliar voices, chattering inaudibly about something I couldn't quite understand.

My head felt like it was spinning. I slowly started to regain some feeling in my limbs as I tried my best to remember what had happened to me. They finally noticed I was awake as soon as I was able to bring a hand up to rub my aching head.

A few others walked out of the room as a slim woman with long brown tied back in a bun walked over to me. She was dressed in long, bronze robes with golden bracelets covering her arms.

She carefully removed my hand from my head and pressed her palm to my forehead. "How do you feel?" She asked me with a voice made of silk.

"F-Feel...?" I stuttered. "I feel, hot. I-I, don't know what's... going on," I groaned, closing my eyes as I took a deep breath, trying to get some air in my lungs.

"Do you remember where you came from?" She questioned, gently removing her hand to tap some things into a glowing keypad on the side of my bed before turning back to me, awaiting my response.

"Came, from...?" The words couldn't seem to process in my head. "I-I, out there... everything, hurts," That was all I could manage to get out.

She nodded, as if she could make out a real response from the nonsense I was spouting. "Do you think you can stand?"

Stand? I could barely lift my head. It felt like it would roll right off the bed had it not been attached to my body. Opening the bifrost... it took so much of my strength. A lot more than I'd expected.

I struggled to sit up, my arms shaking as I stumbled to get to my feet. My head hurt. My arms felt weak. I was... kind of hungry.

"I-I, need to eat," I grumbled.

"Oh, of course!" The lady said. "Follow me, we'd be happy to make you something."

I took a few shakey steps forward, beginning to get the hang of it now, but still needing the nurse's help to even leave the room. We headed down a few long corridors as I marveled at the grand design of the Asgardian palace.

Large pillars covered in beautiful carvings and paintings stood all the way down the hall as structural support. Windows over twice my height were placed along the walls, surrounded by gold, giving passersby a gorgeous view of the city of Asgard. I made it... I thought to myself as I let it all soak in. I'm here.

I looked down and noticed I still had on the same clothes as when I left. I guess it's good they were willing to let me change myself, but I hate to be around this place, and all these people, when I'm in such desperate need of a shower.

"D-Do you know, how long I've uh, been o-out?" I squeaked out.

She glanced away from me with a thoughtful look on her face. "Hmm, only a few days I believe. 4, no, 5 days ago you arrived here. And from what I've heard, you made quite the entrance." She smiled knowingly.

I nodded, casting my eyes downward. I was confused as to watch she meant, but didn't bother to press any further. I don't think I want to know how it looked when my unconscious body flew from the bifrost onto the rainbow bridge.

There was a short bit of silence between us as I took a bit more time to stare out the window at the people below. "So, this is Asgard huh?" I couldn't help asking, just to confirm all of this was real.

"The one and only," she laughed, making me smile as well. "What's your name?" I questioned curiously.

"Savannah," She replied. "I care for the soldiers who come in sick or injured, but since I'm specialized, they asked me to take care of you as well."

"Well, thank you for being so kind to me, Savannah," I replied. "My name is (Y/n)."

"I'm happy to (Y/n)," She smiled. "Welcome to Asgard."

I tiredly sat up, stretching my still worn out muscles. I'd woken up early once again, despite having stayed out late once again last night. I spent most of the time studying, but, oddly enough, I was still infatuated with the girl that Heimdall had brought in before. It's been almost a week now. I don't even know who she is...

Regardless, I got up, still in my dark green sleepwear, and made my down to the infirmary so I could wait there until my lessons for the day started. I wanted so badly to be able to ask for her name, where she came from. I wanted to know everything about her, and I had no idea why.

Once I reached the room, I knocked on the door, praying that it would be Savannah rather than a stricter nurse who might send me back.

"Back again so soon?" She chuckled as she opened the door.

I sighed in relief before rolling my eyes as her teasing. "I only wanted to make sure she's doing alright," I replied, straighten my collar. "Has she woken up yet?" I questioned. Savannah shook her head.

"It's been nearly 5 days," She sighed. "The bifrost might've put her in some kind of coma."

I look back at her with a puzzled face. "It's... never done that to anyone before." I stated.

"Yes," She agreed, "but according to Heimdall, she actually helped to summon it."

Savannah glanced over the girl with her usual thoughtful expression. "She's got a lot of guts, and clearly a lot of power."

"Where did he say she was from?" I asked.

"Heimdall said he wasn't able to see her until she called out to him," She replied. "And even then, he couldn't quite get a read on her location, since she opened the bifrost half herself."

I gave a slight nod, slowly walking over to her bed and running my hand along the edge of the fluffy mattress as I studied her features. "Well, tell me when she wakes up." I requested, as I always did when I stopped by.

"How could I forget?" Savannah laughed as I headed back upstairs to get dressed.

"Just making sure you don't!" I smiled back at her.

"If I may ask, young prince," She called after me. "Why do you seem to care so much? This isn't love, is it?"

I shrugged knowingly. "If it were I wouldn't tell you," I chuckled, "but either way, she hasn't even opened her eyes yet. How could I already love someone I've only seen unconscious?"

Savannah nodded in understanding before going back inside the infirmary, closing the door behind her.

"Still..." I mumbled to myself as I continued on my way.

"She does intrigue me."
