Savannah P.O.V.
I watched with a soft, slightly pitiful expression as (Y/n) made her way to the throne room. Once she was fully inside with the door closed behind her, I turned to the maid who'd come to fetch her. "I thought you wanted to be there while Odin spoke to her? Was I wrong, my prince?"

Loki sighed as his illusion faded, revealing his annoyed face to me. "Sometimes I really wish you were less perceptive." He groaned, glaring daggers as I smirked back at him.

"That still doesn't answer my question, " I  giggled. "Did your plans suddenly change?"

The young prince shook his head. "No, I just felt like making more a dramatic entrance. I'll come in just as she's leaving." He sighed, adjusting his collar.

I rolled my eyes. "You really are something, aren't you?" I couldn't help laughing as I made my way down the hall. "I'll see you later I suppose, I'll most likely be the one situating her here, that is, if Odin decides she can stay."

I could see his face darken a bit at the mention of him actually abandoning her. It's unlikely of him to banish her from Asgard, unless she's some kind of refugee from a war he doesn't want Asgard to become involved in. It's really all up to him.

I glanced from Loki to the throne room door once again before making my way down the hall. Please Odin, be kind with the poor girl.

(Y/n) P.O.V.
I slowly walked inside the throne room, jumping at the loud noise the doors made as they shut behind me. "Ah, yes. So you are the maiden who I came here. You were out for quite a long time, yes?"

I turned around to see the All-Father, king of Asgard himself, Odin. I quickly bowed, nodding my head. "Y-yes... I, didn't mean to sleep that long though. I mean, I've never actually s-summoned the Bifrost before," I stuttered, anxiously backing up a couple paces.

"Neither has anyone else, besides Heimdall of course. Not in a long time," Odin chuckled, "He was the one who ran to your aid when you first arrived. He is the gate keeper, as I would assume you are aware of by now." Odin said, causing me to nod again.

"I owe him my gratitude then," I replied, beginning to regain my composure as I took a quick look around.

Just like the rest of the palace, the throne room was beautiful, even more so than anywhere else I'd been at that point. Everything carved so carefully and precisely; every wall and pillar made of precious minerals like gold and silver. I took notice of Odin's eldest son, Thor, and his wife, Frigga, standing off to the side. By that time I'd heard of them of course, but hadn't known what they looked like until then. I wonder where his youngest ran off too... perhaps he thought this was just a waste of time.

"Can you recall where are you from?" Odin requested, refocusing my thoughts on the task at hand. "Heimdall is all seeing; all knowing. Yet he claims to have not seen you before until you opened the bifrost," Odin questioned.

"I-I…" I can't tell him the truth, he'd never let someone from Surtur's court stay here. "I am from Vanaheim, your highness. I was cast out from my home for a crime I did not commit, and used the bifrost to come here before I was executed."

Odin nodded in understanding. "You have no place to go then?" He confirmed, making me shake my head. "I'm... afraid not." I sighed. Please Odin, have mercy...

He stared at me intimidatingly for a long moment before letting out a soft sigh. "As long as you don't cause any trouble, I will allow you to take temporary refuge in Asgard. I can help you settle in a small house near the castle, and to pay off your debt, you are to come to the palace everyday and work here as a maid. If you abide by these terms, you may stay in Asgard until you're well off enough to go off on your own."

"O-of course! Thank you so much!" I bowed, happily accepting his gracious terms, although I was rather surprised he was being so kind to me. "I promise you won't regret-"

"Did I miss anything?" A sly voice sounded behind me, and as I turned around, I came face to face with the missing prince. Loki...

"Ah! Prince Loki!" I quickly bowed, remembering my manners as I bit my lip and tried to remain composed.

"There's no need for formalities my dear," His smooth voice calmed me some as I sat back up. "So then, father, will she be staying with us?"

"Yes," He nodded, "so if your going to be around her please treat her well."

Loki looked back at me with a devious look in his eye, making me wary. "Don't worry," He smiled, beginning to make his way back out the door already. "I intend to."

What the hell is that supposed to mean? I couldn't help questioing his ominous behavior, but didn't voice my concern, knowing I was already on thin ice.

I met back up with Savannah outside, who was ecstatic to hear the good news. She quickly led me to my room, which was located in a complex just next door to the castle where all the servants stayed. I was given a couple of outfits, some sheets, and left alone for the night so I'd have some time to settle in, though Savannah said I'd most likely have another check up in the morning before being put to work.

"Alright, well, sleep well," She smiled softly as she headed out the door, "you'll want all the rest you can get to retain your strength."

I nodded silently to her before she left, looking around the room. It wasn't nearly as nice as any where in the palace, but still surprisingly modest for the servant's quarters. I suppose I should expect nothing less from the kingdom of Asgard...

It felt odd, being here as a friend after all those years of being raised as an enemy. It felt odd, and bad, to be lying to them as well, but I didn't have a choice. I tried not let it bother anymore than it already as I fell asleep that night, telling myself it would be alright. There's no way that they'll find out, and this was really the only way, so calm down.

You took a deep breath and rolled over on your side, pulling the covers over your face comfortingly as your eyes slipped shut.

Don't worry about anything more than the beautiful day ahead.
