Jacob

"Mom!" I yelled "You're blocking the TV!" My mother looked at me before moving.

"You don't need to yell Jacob. Here, I brought you some popcorn."

"Thanks" I said turning up the volume using the TV remote. We were watching Captain America: Civil War for the first time as my mother had insisted that we wait for it to come out on blue-ray. I had always taken a liking to Marvel movies, since I had first seen Thor one when I was young, and made sure I saw each new movie as soon as I could. The movie started, and I ate some popcorn before my dad got a hold of the bowl. We were about halfway through when Tony Stark recruited Peter Parker to fight against Captain America and his squad. I realized that the actor who played Peter Parker had captured my attention somehow. I watched the rest of the movie without thinking too much about it, but when the movie ended I read the actor's name in the subtitles. Tom Holland.

That was the first time I had seen him onscreen. After that, I began to watch every movie with him in it. I followed him on social media, and looked up interviews with him. One thing I found out about him was that he was British! I never would've known had I not been surfing the web looking for anything and Tom Holland related. Some people might think it strange that a young teenage male like me would have such an obsession with another, older male but it didn't bother me. I genuinely liked him. And when I say liked, I mean every part of him. I liked his personality, I liked his body, and I liked what he did. Close to a year later I had accepted the fact that I had a full-fledged crush on Tom Holland. At first, I didn't tell anyone. But gradually I told some of my closer friends, and some of my other friends and even told my parents that I respected and looked up to him. There was something though, that did make me sad. It was all too likely that Tom Holland would be a straight as a pole and therefore even if I could even get anywhere near him or make friends with him, I wouldn't be able to do anything with him. But I supposed, there must be thousands people like me, so it didn't really matter.
