Sitting in the room I stared around and saw just how crazy these people really must be. Ok, so I go to school, am kidnapped by two insanely hot guys, then slammed against a wall, repetitively. This is before I proceed to pass out, from scream a hella lot, waking up hardly being able to talk. I also find myself locked in a metallic panic room of sorts.
Just as I thought this couldnt get any better, the throbbing in my shoulders returned.
Except it wasnt a throbbing.
It was a white hot pain, shredding my back and I could feel all reason slipping from my brain.
In the distance I heard a scream, but I couldnt focus on that.
I just saw red, everywhere.
I had no awareness of my surroundings, until hands touched my back.
On instinct I spun around, just to see green eyes staring at a space above my shoulders.
He continued to stare at the space, and I watched him. Slowly my pain ebbed, as I was soothed by his gaze.
Reaching out, I followed his hand with my eyes as they touched what I thought would be the wall.
But instead of the metallic cage, there were two wings reaching out from my back.
Well, not really wings. They were looked like wings would look, yet they were misty, translucent. Green eyes' hand slipped straight through them, and I heard a gasp escape me at the sensation.
It was like nothing I had ever felt in my 16 years of living.
Leaving his hand there, his eyes drifted to mine, and I got the first true glimpse of what colour his eyes really were.
I had been thoroughly underestimating them.
They werent just green, the started as a torquoise on the outer ring, and the more central you went, the greener his eyes grew. They grew darker and lusher, finishing in a forest green surrounding his dilating pupil.
The spell was broken by the grinding of gears, and Jamie appeared in the door.
Green eyes lept away, as I pushed myself further into the wall, trying to escape Jamie's gaze, unknowingly shielding my self with my "wings".
Jamie smiled knowingly at us and simply said,
"I see you've met Caleb then."
And finally! His name! Green eyes had a legitimate name!
I started laughing to myself at how I had just started assuming green eyes was his only name.
Before long I started laughing even harder, emotion upon emotion piling down on me.
The absurdness of my entire situation, the kidnapping, the "panic room", the wings... the pain.
It was just everything; everything and nothing. This had all happened within... I dont know how long, but a short space of time
The puzzled headtilt of Jamie and green e- Caleb just set me off even further.
Turning away from them to try and control my laughter, I felt a shift in the atmosphere.
Laughter drawing to a close, I saw both boys staring at my back.
"What happened to your back Lexi." Jared took a few steps foward while Caleb remained in place.
"What do you mean? It hurts, yes, but its been doing that all day..."
Suddenly Caleb stormed towards me. "Wha- what... um.." I stuttered as Caleb spun me back to face the wall and slammed me against it, his body holding me there.
Now, in normal circumstances I would be taking full use of this opportunity, but given the situation, I surpressed my thoughts.
Calebs hand skimmed down my spine as I felt Jamie watch on.
As he brought his hands back up my spine, his hands hesitated, then fluttered his fingertips against the edges of my shoulder blades.
Or at least where I thought they would be.
Instead I felt the same pain from earlier shattering down my spine, and I cried out in agony.
I felt, rather than heard, Caleb be thrown across the room.
Turning round in terror, I saw him crumpled in a corner of the room weazing, holding a hand to his chest.
My mind not able to process that he was hurt, I rushed over to him.
Ignoring that it should have taken me a few seconds instead of one like it did.
I cradled his hand with my hands repetitively asking if he was okay.
Ignoring that I shouldnt be this attatched to my kidnapper.
When out of the corner of my eye I saw Jamie start forward, I bent low over Caleb, a leg on each side and glared at him.
Ignoring that Jamie was the generally kinder guy.
A low growl escaped my throat and I was suddenly aware of what I was doing.
Shakily I stood up and backed away from them both.
Jamie rushed over to Caleb, a hand on his shoulder, asking him question after question while I slipped, or rather stumbled, out of the room backwards.
All the while Caleb's eyes never left mine.
