Calebs pov:

After carrying Le- no the creature, all the way to Tommy's, I could hardly bring myself to leave her side and explain the situation to Tommy. I only did once Jamie promised to tell me immediately if she even showed a single sign of life, other than the shallow rasping coming from her throat, which sounded more painful than anything.

Following Tommy into the sitting room which was above th panic room that he had insisted on putting Lex- the creature until we knew atleast what she was.

Tommy sat on a sofa and stared expectantly at me, waiting for me to start.

"So you know those signs that you showed us near Oxford? Well me and Jamie decided to check it out,"

we only did because we had no cases, which was good, as it meant there were not many supernatural creatures out there. But still was boring as hell because we had no monsters to kill.

"And once we started looking, we just saw more and more signs, dating back to summer 1998."

"Sixteen years ago." Tommy clarified in his no- nonsense voice.

"Yep, so we started looking into anything unusual, strange or abnormal." I left me sentance hanging.

"Anything?" Tommy pushed leaning forwards in his chair.

"Nothing. Nada. Rien."

"At all?"

"Nope. So we started looking into death cirtificates... and not a single soul died that year."

He looked at me disbelievingly. " Not a single person, creature or animal." I continued," there was no press about it though, as it wasnt as if people who should have died didnt, no one got the chance to. People didnt have fatal accidents that killed them. If they had an accident..."

"Just a fatal wound.." Tommy finished already deep in thought.

I nodded, "So we looked further, and it seemed it all happened from a 20 mile radius from Oxford school for exceptionally talented young women." I said using quotation marks. "Then we looked into anyone who moved here then, near that school..."

"Nothing?"

"Nothing. No one came or left in that year. No deaths, only births."

Tommy's eye lit up as he realised how we found her.

"So you went to the school to "interview" students born then, and yada yada yada..."

Tommy replied already turning around looking for some book that must obviously hold some form of relevance.

"So how'd you know it was her?"

Tommy asked turning around.

Suddenly I felt uncomfortable and like the walls were closing in on my.

I've never lied to Tommy before, but my gut was telling me not to reveal the truth about the windows and the scream and all that stuff.

It was unimportant, I told myself, Tommy didnt need to know that stuff.

"We just knew." I replied turning away from him. "It was... It was just obvious."

I was still facing the wall trying to make Tommy believe my little white lie, when I heard Jamies voice below.

He didnt get me.

She woke up and he didnt get me.

I felt, rather than heard, a growl escape my throat and I sped down the stairs to Tommy's panic room they had insisted on locking her up in.

As I walked in, I saw Lexi sitting on the steel framed bed, clutching the glass of to her like it was her life line.

Why the water though. Why did she need the water not me.

Oh crap... there go my jealousy issues... but this was a whole new level, it was a goddamned glass of water!

Despite my knowing that I was being ridiculous, I couldnt help but glare at the glass, my glare growing when she innoccently took a gulp of water from the glass.

Urgh what was it about her!

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Jamie looking at me oddly and suddenly she was just another creature to interrogate.

Alexi's pov:

Crap. Crap crappity crappy fucking shit!

I pounded my hand against the stone walld of my prison.

Well I use the word "prison" very loosely, as it was full of antiques, everywhere.

That was basically all it consisted of.

A deep oak four poster bed was the main feature of the room, with royal green silken sheets and canopy. Next to it was a desk in the same shade of oak, with a type writer conveniently placed on it. However with no computer.

Suddenly, in my panic, i searched my pockets for my phone, just to come up empty handed.

Goddamn it! I had no had no phone, no computer, and from the looks of this building, im guessing no wifi anyway. I had been missing fir God knows how long, and now i was stuck in self proclaimed Lucifers house.

Well thats what i guessed.

Lying down on the insanely comfortable bed, i thought about how crazy this all was.

A few days ago( i think) i was going to school like a regular person. Being regular Alexi Katarine Zakharov. Then all this crap had happened.

My mind then went to Caleb, and his beautifulness (because thats a word now).

Remembering that moment we shared, that moment when I had wings. Suddenly sitting up I tried to look over at my shoulder blades for either the slashes Jaime and Caleb had seen earlier, or the wings.

Not seeing anything, I walked over to the gold deckrated, full length mirror.

When I saw my reflection... just woah...

Stretching out behind me were two huge wings, at least four metres long each and coated with pure white feathers.

Still satring at my reflection, I lifted a feather, to be awed my the strong metallic blue that covered the underside of the feathers.

Finguring my feathers I glanced away from the mirror, and saw, instead of the clear wing refwlcting back at me, a very transparent version of the magnificant fantasy.

When I lifted my hand off of the feathers, they disappeared.

Not as in poof! But as in, theh just werent there anymore. Reaching back, i once more felt the contact on my wings, and they slowly became for visible.
