Caitlyn's POV

I woke up and noticed I was in my room, but how? I get out of bed and notice I'm still in the same clothes as yesterday. My head is pounding and my eyes are burning. I rub circles into the temples of my head as I walk out of my room. Shit! I forgot Gen was leaving for America with her family today. 

"Gen!" I run down the stairs and I can't see her anywhere 

"Gen!" I saw her pop out of the kitchen 

"Caity you're awake!" She said pulling me into a hug. I look over her shoulder and see her suitcases 

"When do you leave?" 

"10 Minutes" 

"oh. You weren't going to wake me up?" 

"I was but before I could leave" 

"I'm going to be so alone Gen" 

"Hey, No your not! you have Ben" 

"He doesn't love me" She stayed silent for a moment 

"Do you love him?" 

"I do Gen. More than anything. But he is so happy with Charlotte" 

"He broke up with Charlotte" 

"How do you know?" 

"He told me Caity. He called me this morning" 

"Really!?"

"Yeah" She nodded and smiled at me. 

I felt happy but I knew he didn't love especially after how I left him brokenhearted. 

"Hey listen. I'll be coming home next week just in time for your birthday so we can have ice cream cake for breakfast. I have a special gift for you  and I know both you and I are going to love it!" 

"I'm going to miss you" I hug her 

"I will miss you too Caity, But it's only for a week" she breaks the hug and we both wipe our tears away. She grabs her luggage and we walk to the door 

"Bye Gen. Stay safe" 

"You stay safe. Don't do anything I wouldn't do" We both laugh before she closes the door and leaves

This next week is going to be a lonely one. Hopefully my birthday next week will go well.
