A Family (Clem x Lou)

2~ Confession

Clem busts open her room, not even thinking about it Aj was inside or not. She crashed onto her bed, her tears sinking into her pillow, faint, muffled sobs echoing through the room.

She didn't even get to tell the other kids about Louis and her's relationship before this.

A panic overwhelms her as her face grows more and more red. Before another tear could be shed, she hears a knock on the door.

"Clem?" A voice beckons through the door.  "Go away, I'm not in the mood." Clem sniffles. The door opens and a tall, dark-skinned boy shuffles in. "You know I'm not leaving until I know exactly what's wrong, Clemster." A small, concerned smile creeps onto his face. Clem sits up on her bed, facing away from him. She was always so strong, she couldn't let him see her like this. But Louis wouldn't stand for that, and grabbed her waist, pulling her close. "Clem... I don't know what I did, but I just want you to know I'm sorry." Louis states, looking at her tear-ridden face. Clementine looked up at him,  holding back her tears. "Louis.... I need to tell you something."

Clem gently holds Louis' big hands in her small ones. She hadn't prepared what she was going to say, and definitely hadn't prepared for what he would. "I don't know how else to say this so I'll just come out with this. I took a pregnancy test."

The world froze around Louis as he waited for her to continue.

"Louis, I'm pregnant with your baby."

Louis' stood still. He was appalled, but all he could think was how happy he was.

"Clem, are you serious?!" Louis exclaims, a small smile on his face, which confuses Clem. "Yes."

Before she could react, Louis lifted Clem into his arms like a bride. His small smile grew into the happiest grin Clem had ever seen. He started jumping and dancing around with her in his arms. "I'm gonna be a father! I'm gonna be a father!" He cheered, until interrupted by small footsteps, and the door opening.

"Louis?" Aj asked, edging into the room. "What's going on?" 2 years passed after Clem and Aj first arrived here. Aj was now taller, and his hair was much larger. Clem often wondered which parent he got that from.

"I'll tell you later, buddy. Can you go play with Tenn?" Louis replies. Aj nods, still skeptical, and walks out of the room, shutting the door behind him. "As I was saying..." Louis said, beginning once again to cheer. Clem was shaken, unaware on how to respond. She was ecstatic Louis was happy, but worries still lingered in her mind.

"Oh, Clem! This is amazing!" Louis yelled, smothering Clementine's face with kisses. "No, Louis, it's not! The others don't even know we're together! How will they react?! Plus, we've got enough mouths to fe-" she was interrupted by Louis suavely kissing her lips. "Don't worry, Darlin'. Let soon-to-be-proud-father-Lou handle it." He says smugly, but his cheery attitude drifts away when he sees that Clem is still upset.

"Hey..." Louis softly says, getting on one knee, "I know this is a mess. But we'll get through this. Together. I'll never leave your side. We'll make that kid the best they can be in a world like this. I'll always protect you." Clementine's honey eyes start to cry as she lunges into Lou's arms.

And to think, she thought love was for suckers.
