A Family (Clem x Lou)

3~ Friends

"So... we're keeping it?"

"Of course! Are you crazy? I've always wanted to be a father! And thanks to you..." Louis pulls Clementine into his arms by her waist, "I'll happiest father alive!" He says. Grinning from ear to ear. The sight of him so happy made Clem unable to hold back a grin. But then she remembered there was one more thing she couldn't avoid.

"What about other others? How will we tell them? How will we tell Aj?!" Clem begins to panic, and Louis pulls her into an embrace.

The two lovers, with worried hearts, decide to tell the group as soon as possible. They plan a group meeting for that night.

The sun goes down, and all the kids swarm around the campfire. Louis and Clem sit close to each other, hiding their hand-holding behind their backs. Louis could feel how nervous she was.

"Is this about the crying last night? Sheesh, someone was crying like a baby!" Willy interrupted the silence. Clem squeezed Louis' hand tighter. "Well... it isn't about the crying... but it is about that last word." Louis answers. Everyone looks at each other confused. They then looked back at a hunched over Louis with a sorrowful grin. He scootches over to reveal Clem and him, hand in hand.

"Louis... for the love of god, don't tell me your saying...." Violet trails on, with an expression filled with sadness and anger.

"OH, THATS ENOUGH. LOUIS AND I ARE PREGNANT!" Clem explodes, grabbing onto Louis' chest, trying to hold back tears. The group of young adults stare in awe.

"You... and Louis? The guy sitting in front of me? Him? You..." Aasim started, only to be interrupted by Willy yelling "YOU TWO DID IT?!" Causing everyone to cover their faces in embarrassment. Ruby was the first to look up. Being the only one with any health training, she was flustered and fuming. "How could you two be so irresponsible?! I can expect it from Louis, but you too, Clem? I can't believe this! How are we going to raise it? How are we going to protect it? What if it gets sick? What if Clem gets sick?! What if she dies during birth?! Can you live with that, Louis? Unbelievable!" Ruby rants, then storming into the school, leaving the rest of the kids to stare at Louis.

The silence after Ruby's departure was interrupted by Violet standing up and slapping Louis across the face, causing him to fall to the ground. "You IDIOT! How could you do this to her?!" The angry blonde yells. "Well, I can tell you how, but I don't think you want to hear it," Louis snickers, causing Violet and Aasim to scoff. Violet moves her gaze to Clem, who is curled up in a ball sobbing. "Clem..." Violet starts, putting her hand on Clem's shoulder,  "I know this seems hard. Hell, I know this will be hard. But you're the toughest girl I've ever met, second to me, of course. I know you can make it through this. With or without that idiot boy."

Louis raises an eyebrow  at that last remark. "What are you trying to say, Vi?"

"I'm saying, you don't get to be apart of that kid's life. You're lucky I don't drag you out of this school myself." Violet responds.

"NO!" Clementine bursts out, causing everyone's eyes to turn to her. "I... I love him! I love him, Violet!" Everyone's eyes widen at her confession. Louis stumbles over to her, sweeping her off of the couch and into his arms.

"We're in love! And we're having that baby, whether you like it or not!" Louis yells. The other kids leave the firepit in dismay. Everyone but Aj.

"Clem?" Aj whimpers, edging towards the two lovebirds. "What do you mean you're... pre-gan-ant?" Clem realizes she never taught him about the birds and the bees. But she didn't know if she was ready. "Goofball..." Aj scowls at her nickname. "Alvin Junior," Clementine corrects herself, "it means... well... you're going to have somewhat of a new friend around. A baby is coming." Clementine tries to explain. Aj blinks. "A new... friend? I'm getting a new friend? Hooray! Thanks Clem!" The boy cheers, running off into the school. Clem and Lou let out a sigh. Atleast they got one person to be happy about this.
