I made my way through all the legs, looking for a place to sit. I had been out for the first month of school since one of my sisters was very sick so technically it was my first day. I looked around and saw a seat open. I started to walk towards it but the girl put her backpack in the way basically telling me to back off. I sighed and went back some more, seeing an open seat next to a male with long black hair whom I had never seen before.
I walked towards the seat and to my surprise, he moved his backpack. I smiled slightly and sat down. God, if I wasn't so shy I would ask him his name. This guy was cute!
"My name is Alex," he said as he flashed a smile at me. "What's your name?"
"Melissa," is all I could manage to say. Most guys wouldn't want to talk to a girl with electric blue hair but he did. It probably won't last long though. Everyone at school knows my family is poor and my dad is a drunk so I'm made fun of a lot. We didn't talk again after that but I could tell that he was tense. His body screamed it.

I sighed, got off the bus and went to my first class.
I won't bore you with the awful details of school so let's get to the good part, shall we?
I climbed on the bus and walked to my normal seat. God, why was I so tired? Oh yeah, I stayed up last night reading. Whoops, bad choice. I pulled my hair up into a ponytail and leaned my head against the window as I closed my eyes.
I felt someone sit next to me but didn't bother to open my eyes to look. All I heard was a deep inhale through the nose and felt this person rummaging through their bag.
Somehow, I knew exactly when the bus reached the end of my street. I stood up to see the male from before was sitting next to me as well. He politely got up so I didn't have to look like a complete idiot having to climb over him. I Mae my way off the bus and put my headphones in as I walked down to my crappy house. I was greeted by my Portuguese Water Dog, Bandit. He woofed as I opened the door and walked inside. But something was odd...
I felt like I was being watched...
