Colton's POV

Throughout the entire breakfast I could smell my mate and my wolf was going crazy! I've made eye contact with almost every girl in here to see if she was my mate, and while I got tons of winks and flirty smiles none of them were my mate.

The thing about finding your mate is you can smell them when you're near them but you can't determine if it's truley your mate until you see their eyes.

Find me mate! Me want mate! My wolf Derek growled at me.

I'm trying, bud! I don't know why she isn't looking for us too! Can't she sense us?! Maybe she's younger than us... He just growled back at me.

Werewolves can't sense their mates until they reach 16. The only exception is if their mate is over 16 and finds them first. Their mate's wolf will call out to their wolf and their wolf will begin to feel their mate connection. So my mate could be younger than me and not even realize her mate is in the room... great, that's just great. But the weird thing is practically all of the girls in this room want to be my mate and are trying to get my attention, so why haven't I seen her yet?

I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard shouting. Oh, it's just my obnoxious beta picking on the omegas again. He really needs to get a grip, it's not impressive, it's just pathetic. He tries so hard to get me to notice him, he's just as desperate as the girls in this pack, besides my mate, of course.

Just then my mates smell got a whole lot stronger, ahh roasting marshmellows and flowers, I bet that's what heaven smells like. Her smell was coming from the near the kitchen, so I darted my eyes over to that area and that's when I finally saw her, standing infront of the kitchen doors. I let out a sigh I didn't even know I had been holding in, she was just so beautiful.

Mate! Go to mate! She's perfect, me want mate! Derek was going insane but I couldn't move, I just stared in awe. Even though she looked beyond furious I couldn't help but notice how adorable she truley was.

She's so small, definitely under 5 ft. she had big square glasses infront of her bright hazel eyes, a drop dead gorgeous face full of freckles, I could see the slight indent of dimples on her cheeks, and her perfectly straight dark brown hair cascaded down her back over her cute sweatshirt that was way to big for her small frame. She was obviously upset and marched over to my beta in her cute little jeans and converse.

And then I realized she was upset. The fact that she was upset made me just as mad, maybe even more. And that's when I decided my betas head was about to come off.

I looked up and saw Blake strangling my mate as she spat in his face. Dang she's feisty! And I thought she was just some shy little nerd... He yelled something back at her and began to raise his fist. No this shit isn't flying, not with my mate, not ever.

"Enough!" my voice echoed throughout our dinning hall as I stood from my chair, pushing it to the ground. To say I was pissed is an understatement, no one touches my mate but me.

"Looks like the big boss is here to put you in your place mutt, remember who you're speaking to," Blake dropped my mate and she slid down the wall. I wanted to slap that ugly smirk off of his already ugly face. "You do need to learn some damn respect," I began, and Blakes smirk just widened. Little did the bastard know I was talking to him. My mate hung her head, showing me her respect and a sign of an apology, which bothered me, she shouldn't submit to me. She's my equal. "Blake, remember who you're speaking too, your Luna," And as just as fast as it had came his stupid smile dropped in disbelief. My mates head stuck straight up, we locked eyes and it was like she was staring straight into my soul. That's when I knew I was complete.

__________________________

At first she just seemed confused and then she stared at me in amazement... but then she just looked scared. She ran. My mate ran from me in fear, and I was stuck in the dinning hall with my whole pack looking at me. I just felt alone. Did she just reject me?
