Grace's POV
I ran. I ran up every flight of stairs, into the attic, and climbed out the attic window to sit on the roof as quickly as my little legs could take me. That's where I do most of my thinking and it's kind of the squads little get away, I guess.
What am I gonna do?He's the alpha and I'm just some little omega, I'm just gonna end up heart broke I know it! My wolf Lara whimpered.
Awwh Lar, don't think about it to much, you're just gonna hurt yourself.
She blocked me out after that. I just sighed.
I heard creaking from the stairs and knew someone was coming up, and just like I had thought that someone was Colton. I could tell by his scent, bonfires, chocolate and pine. Damn, its already getting addicting.
He slowly climbed up onto the roof and just stared out looking at the forrest view with me. We sat there silently for a few minutes before he turned to me giving me this shy little look. It was actually pretty cute, his brows were furrowed and his lips kept twitching to the side unsurely. "What's your name?"
"Grace," I said quietly
"I'm Col - "
"I know your name Alpha Colton," I said, slightly bowing my head in respect. He paused for a minute.
"Well Grace, why did you run?" When he said my name I couldn't help but shiver, it just sounded so perfect coming from him. Out of the corner of my eye I could see the smirk on his face, great he knew he effected me.
"I don't know," I answered in a whisper as I tried to look anywhere but at his face.
He seemed really sad and honestly that was the last thing I wanted right now, him being sad. "You wanna hear a joke?"
"What?"
"I said 'do you wanna hear a joke?'"
"Sure, I guess...?"
"What type of bagel can fly?"
"um."
"A plane bagel," I giggled.
He raised his brows at me and gave me a cute little smirk and I felt my cheeks begin to redden. "That was the worst joke I've ever heard," he chuckled. "Well you looked sad and bad jokes always cheer me up when I'm sad," I stated. "Can I tell you a bad joke now?" he asked.
"Go for it."
"Which president was the least guilty? ... Lincoln because he was in-a-cent! Get it, like a penny!?"
"That was even worse than my joke," I giggled. And then he smiled at me, it wasn't like his normal smirks it was a real genuine smile, and it was the most beautiful smile I've ever seen.

We stayed up there for hours just telling each other bad jokes and then making fun of our bad jokes and it was actually really great. But it began got chilly and a little darker so I checked my watch to see it was already 5:30. I told Colton we should probably go back and he agreed but just before I got up to go back in he began talking again. "So, you never really did say why you ran away this morning..."
"Oh um, well..." I decided the truth was better than nothing. "Honestly, I was kind of scared..."
"Of what?"
I tried so hard to look anywhere but his face "Rejection." but it didn't work, I ended up staring straight into his deep beautiful blue eyes.
"I would never reject you," he said staring straight back at me. Slowly he began to lean in and I did too - "Where did he go?! I haven't seen the Alpha since breakfast!" Someone yelled. Looking below us we saw pack guards scattered everywhere frantically searching for their "missing Alpha".
"Um we should probably get back inside. Looks like they need you, Alpha."

Colton's POV
Are you kidding me?! I was so close to her, so damn close! I punched my fists into the wall. She called me Alpha... like nothing in the past few hours had happend. Like we hadn't just stayed there talking since 8 am. Like all I was to her was her Alpha.
It was about 6:30 and I was getting dressed for my banquet and ceremony. Tonight's the night I recieve the full Alpha title from my father. And although I am super excited, everyone knows a pack is stronger with a Luna to keep the Alpha in check, I would really prefer to have my Luna up on stage with me when I recieve the title. I want the whole pack to know she's mine. She's not some omega they can push around, she's their Luna and they must respect her.
Omegas have to serve orderves to the pack after the ceremony and during the banquet, meaning they have to wear uniforms. All black and some fancy cooking shirt, thing. No mate of mine will be serving the pack. Not my Grace, she will be on stage with me and will sit next to me at our table.
When I finished dressing I went down to the kitchen to find some random omega. There were 2 of them in kitchen, both girls. One was extremly small, even smaller than my Grace, and she seemed to only be about 4"10.
"What're your names?" I asked. They bowed their heads and quietly
whispered their names, if it weren't for my werewolf hearing I wouldn't have known they said a word. The smaller ones name was Amanda and the other one, with black hair who was slightly on the plumper side, name was Morgan."Do you two know my mate Grace?" I asked even though I already knew the answer. "Yes," the both whispered. "Will you two find her and tell her she will not be serving anyone tonight. Help her get ready into something formal, please." "Yes, Alpha." They then scurried away to find my precious mate.

Grace's POV
"He sent you to what?!" I asked frantically. "He wants you to get all dressed up tonight! He says you're not going to be serving." Morgan said enthusiastically, with a bit of excitement in her eyes. "Grace has a ma-te, Grace has a ma-te!" Amanda sang over and over again. "Wait, why?" I asked, feeling really nervous about this all of a sudden. "Well you're the Luna now, Grace. I bet he wants to annouce it to the whole pack of something," Morgan stated. "Wait Grace is the Luna now?! Oh my goodness!" Amanda squeaked, and began to bow. I love the girl, but she's so clueless sometimes. "Amanda you don't have to bow to me," I chuckled. "But you turds do have to help me get ready!"
"I don't know what to wear or how to look or anything!" I whined feeling way more than unsure about this. "Leave it to us," Amanda grinned. Oh God.

I slowly removed my hands from my eyes and looked into the mirror. My jaw dropped, this isn't me! Who is this?
Morgan curled my normal straight brown hair into soft waves that reached the bottom of my back. Amanda forced me to not wear glasses and instead wear contacts, and put on a smallest amount of eyeliner and mascara that made my big hazel eyes like even bigger. They put on a bit of concealer but said I didn't need foundation because I have a pretty even skin tone and barely any acne, and to tone my face just a little bit they added bronzer and blush. Although it was a fancy formal banquet and ceremony thing, we aren't really fancy people so they just put me in a simple white dress and paired it with some wedges.
(her dress is in the picture)
We went down stairs and they left me to go serve orderves and I was just standing by myself at the door. Okay, I'm ready, I'm ready... I'm not ready. This is so nerve racking, what if the pack doesn't approve?! What if they get a bunch of tomatoes and throw them at me while booing me off stage?!Nope! I can't do this!
Stop being ridiculous. Get your booty out there and go to our mate. Lara said impatiently.
I sighed and took a step out onto the patio where the ceremony and banquet were taking place. Some people gave me weird looks and others just ignored my existence, but that didn't matter I just wanted to find Colton.
I sniffed around to try to track down his scent but it was pretty faint because of everyone else around us, so I just looked around kind of cluelessly. Then I looked straight infront of me and he was right there, like he magically appeared.
