chapter four
calums pov: (i know eventually lol)
I looked in my bag and took out what i was looking for, my 4 chem jotters, i placed them all on the table infront of me, i walked through to the kitchen and went into the refridgiator too grab some drinks, then the door went, i closed the fridge and made my way too the front door, i pulled the handle towards me too see carter standing there in a pair of high wasted shorts with a tucked in marvel tank top with braces attaching to her shorts, her hair was pulled up into a messy bun and her green strands of hair was hanging loose, "hey you" i said smiling "hey cal, how are you?" she asked, i moved too the side while allowing her into my house, "im good thank you, what about you?".
"im good thanks, oh yeah, how come your parents arent home?" she asked, "oh my mum is at work, and my sister is at college, yeah my dad left a while ago but its fine" i said smiling, "oh im sorry, im the same, i live with my mum as my dad also left, and my brother goes to college but he has his own appartment" she said, i sort of liked the fact that we had something so touching in common, i know that it isnt obviously just us that lives with a single parent but i just feel like its something, but i cant put my finger on it just yet.
"would you like something to eat or drink?" i asked politely, carter looked around and her eyes landed on her feet, but i never knew what to say or do, so i walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge, "we have apple juice, orange juice, milk, cola or water?" i asked looking over my shoulder, "i will have orange juice please" she said not lifting her eyes off her feet, i never mentioned it as i did not want to make her feel uncomfortable, so i gave her the bottle of juice that just came out of the fridge.
"so lets get too it, i hope you took your jotter" i said nicely, she nodded while smiling, we both took a seat on my couch and got started.

2 hours later
"so Na + Cl2 --> NaCl,?" she asked scruntching her nose, as she has been struggling with it so far, i looked at my jotter and then pulled a squinted face. "nope, but so close" i said emphasising my 'e'.
"ok, so lets try one more, if we add Fe + O2, what would the answer be?" i said looking at her intensily, she smiled and wrote the equation in her jotter, she looked up at me, "Fe2O3?" she said confidently, i looked down at my sheet, and then jamp up.
"finally" i shouted, "i done it?" she shouted just as suprised. "yeah you did" i said laughing at her. "oh my god thank you so much" she said jumping into my arms, i was taken a back, but i wrapped my arms around her shoulders, as she pulled away her eyes locked with mine and she started leaning forward, "so would you like too work on some more, or would you like too have a quick break?" i asked, "oh um, yeah- no i mean, um- i might just go home as i have alot too get done" she said, well done calum, you just made it awkward, "oh right, would you like a lift home?" i asked her, "if you wouldnt mind?" she said with a smirk, "nope, its not a problem" i said smiling, i grabbed her back from the sofa and handed it too her.
We both got into the car, the car ride was silent, not really awkward, just silent. It gave me some time to think about things, does this mean she likes me? or was she just confused, or in the spir of the moment, i dont know.. Its all just blowing out of proportation.
Before i knew it, we were out side her house, and she was getting out of the car, "hey carter"
she looked back smiling, "yeah?" i looked right into her eyes and saw the sparkle in them, "goodnight" i said, she nodded her head, "yeah good night cal" she said before clossing the door, she looked back and gave me a wave.
