Heart breaks
Bones shake
Earth quakes
Do you feel hollow
Slumped against the wall
Blade in hand
A spark of desire
Turns to a raging fire
The pain demanding to be felt
Emotionally
Physically
It has to be felt
Blade against skin
Tight grip
Mind buzzing
Whirlwind of thoughts
"Would anyone care?"
"Do they care?"
"Why should they?"
Searching for a reason
To put the knife down
To stop
To walk away
Tightening your grip
Then...
You remember
There's hope
Somewhere
Someone cares
Someone loves you
Are meant for you
You two may not know it
Or you may not have met them yet
But there out there
...
Grip loosens
Knife falls
Walk away
No blood
Not today
