Chapter 10: The City of the Damned

That same day, few Cratersville people, including Dante, Killen, Colin, Walter, Nathan, Blaine and Ian are preparing three vehicles. Ian is driving the first truck with Blaine. The second is driven by Ben with Dante, Josiah and Killen. The third is driven by Colin and Walter. James walks over to Colin's vehicle.

James: you sure you're gonna be okay, Uncle Colin? I mean, who knows what the City of the Damned is full of?

Colin: we'll be fine, James. Don't worry.

James: Oh, wait....Uncle Colin! I forgot!

James pulls out a remote control as a flying robot appears from its cloaking device.

Dante: Whoa....what-hey, little buddy.

James: He's friendly, Dante. Relax.

The flying robot flies around Dante, before flying over to Colin and Nathan.

Nathan: (exclaims) James! What the hell is this thing?

James: Mr. Jax! Say hello, Mr. Jax!

Jax speaks by beeping.

Dante: Uh....I didn't get that.

James: Yeah, I still need to install a vocal process chip inside him. I just need to find one....

Luke: Where did you find it?

James: Him. Not "it". "Him" and I didn't find him. I built him. Out of scrap. Carbon Fiber.....a Zeus Corps battery.

Colin: Where the hell did you find a Zeus Corps battery?

James: Uh.....

Luke: You and Josiah have been sneaking out again, haven't you?

Colin: James....

James: What?!

Colin: Josiah, you're supposed to be keeping my little nephew out of trouble.

Josiah: I am....sort of....hey, we're young boys. We're born to be wild! Your nephew told me about your days as a hunter, Mr. Colin.

James: It's not his fault. I wanted to go. Anyways, you might want to take him with you. He can provide a lot of help for you guys.

Walter: A bot like that could help the trip a lot. What can he do?

James: He can hack into terminals. Hold data. Open closed doors. Cloak so that way enemies can't see him. He's fucking awesome!

Nathan is kissing Nora.

Nora: Come back and bring my egghead brother with you.

Nathan: I will....I promise...

Justin is socializing with Blaine.

Justin: Yo, you sure, you're gonna be okay?

Blaine: Man, I'll be fine. Just keep Bart out, and the store running.

The two give a handshake with each other and Blaine enters the vehicle. James and Josiah say their goodbyes to each other as Luke walks over to Colin's car.

Luke: I hope you know where you're going and what you're doing.

Colin: (laughs) Don't I always?

Luke laughs.

Luke: Be safe, son.

The vehicles and cargo truck drive towards the way to the City of the Damned. During the trip, in Killen's vehicle, Dante is listening to "Spirit in the sky" on an iPod, while Dante reads a journal with pictures in it, saying "Kronos is a lie!", "Disease free my ass" No safe haven in the world" and Killen is smoking as he drives.
