"Hey nerd wake up," the sound of heaven echoed in his head. Leo slowly opened his eyes as he felt the ocean breeze on his skin and looked over seeing Akira awake in their bed as he smiled at Leo.

"Morning handsome," Akira leaned down kissing him. Leo hummed kissing him back as he rolled to tower over him.

"Good morning indeed gorgeous," Leo smirked as he looked down at Akira as the golden sun glistened against Akita's pale skin as his indigo eye stared up at him smiling.

"I got bored," Akira pulled him down as their lips touched and Leo smiled leaning down more but yelled when Akira pushed him over and straddled him.

Leo's breath was taken away as he looked at Akira with the oceans breeze pushing his thick hair to the side gently as Leo sat up with his boyfriend in his lap.

"You really are beautiful," Leo whispered holding his face as akira's eyes widen softly as he gazed into Leo's eyes.

"You okay?" Akira asked gently holding Leo's hand to his face and kissed his palm softly.

"Yea... I'm just glad your here," Leo smiled. "Plus your warm,"

"We're on a island Leandro," Akira rolled his eyes getting up from the short bed as Leo rolled on his side watching his amor walking out of the room.

Leo sat up with a soft sigh as he looked out the glass door next to them as it gave the view of the Bahamas sandy beach as they 'borrowed ' a beach house to hide in for a while. They've only been on the run for 13 months but they were surviving.

He stood up as he smirked grabbing a Hawaiian shirt the owner of the house left and Akira walked back in as he saw Leo's ridiculous shirt.

"Absolutely not," Akira said flatly but screamed when Leo wrapped him in a hug so he was closer to the ugly shirt with flamingos and pineapple.

"You looooove me so you looooove this shirt," Leo teased as Akira tried escaping.

"Leo let go! It's hurting my eyes just looking at it!" Akira cried out but the two fell when Leo tripped them on accident and fell on top of his boyfriend.

"Hello again," Leo smirked down at him.

Leo tried opening his eyes as they felt like a thousand pounds trying to lift the lids only to be blinded by the bright white lights above.

"Kira..." he mumbled.

Blue eyes forced themselves open as Leo looked to the side seeing Lotor unconscious now with an oxygen mask over his face. It sent a shiver down his spine seeing how weak the once powerful warrior now is, Lotor was a beast, something everyone feared due to his strength, his speed, growing up in the organization gave him a thirst for blood.

"L-Lotor..?" Leo breathed and the fellow meta human only replied in his soft breathing and the machine that let him.

Leo inhaled deeply at the pain in his torso from being sliced open already but he couldn't shake the thoughts from his head. They can take away their powers, how is it even possible? It felt like his powers were part of him, intertwined in his blood, not something you can just take away like a limp. It couldn't be possible.

But they did it to Lotor...

Would they do it to him? Did they do it to Rachel? What did he have to do to keep his powers... kill again? Cooperate? Win?

Escape? For real this time.

Leo rested his head back as he stared at the ceiling, he wished he could go back into the dream, the dreams he found comfort in when it was him and Akira, just running but there was no fear because no one was after them for that time. It wasn't until six months ago they really tried capturing them like dogs on the streets.

He just wanted to dream again.

"Lotor?" Leo whispered again to his only friend it seemed in here.

"Hmm?" He heard the taller man respond.

"Are you sleeping or just unconscious?" Leo asked looking at him.

"Unconscious," Lotor stated and peaked an eye open.

"Why did they take your powers?" Leo gulped as the question escaped his lips before he could stop himself.

"Because I killed to many of them, I wouldn't cooperate, I was their nightmare, so they took away what made me fearful," Lotor smirked under the oxygen mask. He was proud that he could make the normal monsters afraid of him, but without his powers they no longer were afraid of him.

"Will they do it to me?" Leo whimpered with fearful eyes.

"I cannot promise anything blue, these people are unpredictable," Lotor looked away. "There's terrible side effects to taking our powers away,"

"Like what?"

"My immune system is weak, my heart and lungs are... weak, we become weaker than humans, when I'm unconscious my body is more likely to stop myself from breathing," Lotor sighed closing his eyes and Leo understood the oxygen mask now.

"Could they return it? Is it like a time out?" Leo asked a little hopeful.

"Lance, love, I'm dying," Lotor told him softly.

"When they take away our powers our body starts dying, like a damn flower, our petals fall off and we dry out and crumble, it's been five months since they took away my powers, they either can't return them or they don't know how yet," he explained.

"I don't have a lot of time, I'm the longest living one, the others have died within the hour their powers are removed or under five months," Lotor inhaled deeply as he just focused on breathing.

"Love, little blue, please tell me about Allura..." Lotor gulped looking up at the speedster and Leo smiled softly at him.

"Kicks ass every day, she's safe in Sweden, she got there two nights before I got captured at least, I think hunk is going to go partner up with her and pidge and shiro are too, we warned them," Leo chuckled and Lotor sighed relieved.

"She's good though, she keeps a journal, she's waiting for you Lotor," Leo gulped looking at him worried and Lotor looked away pained.

"We're getting out of here, we'll be okay, you just have to keep fighting man," Leo told him determined. "We have the justice league on our side,"

Lotors eyes flickered with relief and hope for a moment, he looked at Leo and looked away.

"Well they better have one hell of a medical system I can hop on when they come," Lotor joked but Leo knew it was more than simple sarcasm.

He used the sarcasm because they both knew there was a chance it was only one of them walking out alive.
