A/N: Omg I'm finally writing a happy story ;) I'm sorry but I'm pretty bad at writing happy stuff I mostly just go for the deep, sad stuff

"Hey, Parker!"

I turned around and came face to face with Michelle Jones, part time Decathlon team leader, full time nerd. And I loved it.

I just hoped she couldn't tell.

"Hey, MJ," I said, my cheeks already getting redder by the instant. Cool it, Peter. You're Spiderman for God's sake.

"Did you finish those practice problems?" She looked at me expectantly.

"Oh, uh, yeah, totally." I opened my backpack, fished around for a few seconds, and pulled my hand out holding a crumpled piece of paper.

"...thanks." She took it, eyeing me.

I cleared my throat. "Hey, MJ? I was wondering if, uh.. well-" my voice cracked, and I could see her trying to hold back a smile.

Great job, Mr. Parker. Now she knows you're an idiot

"Sorry. Do you, maybe want to go... to a movie with me sometime?"

She kept her eyes locked on me. After a few seconds, she spoke. "I knew you had it in you."

"Uh- what?"

She shook her head. "Nothing. It's just that, well, let's face it Peter, you're not very good at hiding things."

I raised my eyebrows at her. "You'd be surprised."

"Sure. I'll go. When?"

"Oh. Uh. This weekend, maybe?"

"Cool," she said, giving me a wave. "This weekend then."

"Yeah."

I turned away from her as she walked down the hallway, my cheeks still burning. I was so caught up in my thoughts that I almost ran into Ned, my best friend.

"Hey, Spidey. What's up with you?"

"Well..." I looked at him mischievously. "Your pal Spiderman just got himself a date."

Ned's eyes widened. "No way, dude. Seriously? With who?"

"Michelle."

"Oooo, I bet that's gonna be nice, eh?" Ned punched me playfully in the arm.

I smiled. "Yeah, it sure is."
---
I knocked on her door, my hands shaking with nervousness. I turned around. May, waiting in the car, gave me a thumbs up sign and a smile. I smiled back weakly, just as the door opened.

"Oh, hi! You must be Peter!" A tall, middle-aged woman with curly brown hair and dark, tanned skin greeted me.

"Yep, that's me!" I gave her my best smile. Nope, you're overdoing it, buddy. Great job.

But she just smiled back warmly. "MJ's inside. Come in, come in." She opened the door and I stepped inside.

Her house was small, but cozy-looking. Framed photographs of MJ and her family lined the wall, and flowers were placed on tables in the main hallway.

Soon, Michelle came into the entrance, wearing a jean skirt and a striped top, with black boots.

"Wow," I said, blushing again. "You look- really pretty."

MJ cocked her eyebrow. "And therefore I have value?"

"No- that's not- that's not what I meant I-"

She smiled at me. "I'm just kidding. You look- pretty too."

I laughed. "Um, May is waiting in the car."

She nodded, grabbing her purse, and I held the door for her as she walked out.

"Hi, Michelle. Peter's told me a lot about you!" May said, smiling, as Michelle and I got into the car.

"May..." I muttered quietly.

"It'a been awhile since Peter's gone out with a girl. I'm glad he chose you."

"May!"

"Oh, um, thanks miss..." Michelle said, blushing.

"Oh, you can call me May." She gave Michelle a grin. "You guys excited?"

"Yep!" Michelle answered. I could tell she already liked my Aunt, and they engaged in a comfortable conversation, as I stared out the window, praying this day would go well.
---
"Well, here we are, kids! Have fun!"

"Thanks, May!" MJ said cheerily, stepping out of the car.

"Bye, May. Love you."

"Hey, Peter? Have fun." She kissed my cheek, and I smiled at her.

"Thanks. I will."

"I like your aunt," Michelle said after she had driven away.

I smiled. "Me too."

We got our tickets and sat down, exchanging casual conversation.

"Have you seen this yet?" I asked her. The movie was Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

She frowned, thinking. "Nope, don't think so."

"Alright, cool."

"So do we like, hold hands or something?"

I tried to hide my growing excitement. "Only if you want to."

She shrugged. "Well then yes, Peter, yes I do."

I took her hand carefully as the movie began playing. An hour in, she leaned her head on my shoulder. I smiled to myself, loving this feeling.
---
"Thanks for the movie, Pete," she said, standing back at the entrance to her house. "It was fun. We should do it again."

"Really?"

She nodded, smiling. "Definitely."

After she had closed the door, I walked back to the car, a bubble of happiness growing inside me. My phone began to buzz and, looking down, I saw it was Ned.

"Hey dude. How'd it go?"

I smiled. "Pretty sure it went great."
