The Infected

Chapter 8

(Flashback to last night, btw it's going to be in 3rd person, but when it ends it will be in Rose's p.o.v)

You see Rose and Gene cuddling. Rose's face is in the crock of Gene's neck. One of Rose's hands is on the other side of Gene's neck drawing circles with her thumb on his neck. The other hand holding Gene's hand. Gene's other hand is over Rose's back playing with her hair. Their legs are tangled together and they both have happy smiles on their face. If you'd see this, you'd probably think they were dating. They just look like they were made for each other. Rose starts turning and talking in her sleep.

"Cinnamon rolls" She mutters. And starts kissing and biting on Gene's neck. Probably assuming he is the cinnamon roll. Gene starts smiling again. Eventually, Rose is done with her "Cinnamon Roll" and what's left is 4 hickeys.

(End of Flashback)

Shit, shit, shit! What happened? Okay, Rose, calm down, think, wha- shit I had a dream about eating cinnamon rolls I must of- shit! What do I do???

"Rose? Earth to Rose?" Gene says taking me out of my trance. "Rose? What is it? All you said was 'shit' and then you went in that weird state. Is there something wrong?" He asked. I started flipping out.
"S-something wrong? No, no there's nothing wrong, just stay here, don't move I'll be back." I said running to the bathroom. I looked around thinking about what to do, I saw the mirror and knew that would be a problem. I took it off of the wall and hid it behind the shower curtain. I decided I would ask Jacob and Dante for help. I ran out.

"U-um" I couched. "You can go in there now, I'll be here," I said running out the room and shutting the door. I saw Dante and Jacob looking at me strangely.

"Are you okay? Was sharing the bed too big of an issue?" Jacob said smirking like he knows something...

(Flashback in Dante's P.O.V)

I wake up to the noise of Jacob whispering in my ear which made me jump.

"Ugh what do you want," I said quietly?

"Trust me its worth it, follow me," Jacob said and I followed him to Rose's room.

"What do you want me too-" Dante looked at Rose and Gene and he had to contain his laughter. I knew what I had to do.

"Jacob, do you have a camera," I said hopefully. He smirked.

"You know it," He said taking a camera out of his coin. I grabbed it eagerly and snapped three pictures.

"This will be amazing blackmail," I said taking two and handing one to Jacob. "It was good doing business with you."

(End of flashback... they don't know about Genes neck tho..)

I looked at them confused like they were hiding something but there wasn't time for that.

"Guys I messed up big time. Don't tell him, promise." I said.

"Dont tell who what?" Gene said walking out of the bedroom. Gene had a 'wtf' face, so did Jacob, They both looked at each other and started laughing. Gene was even more confused. "What are you guys laughing about?" Gene asked but they couldn't even get a sentence out. They were rolling on the floor.
"Um, Inside joke?" I said. They eventually calmed down and I decided to change the subject. I pulled out my map of the city.

"So we're here," I said pointing to the purple piece. Gene scanned the map and pointed to a dead end.

"There it is." He said. I was confused but then I remembered he said it was hidden very well so I went with it.

"Jacob, did you get to recharge?" I asked. He nodded his head.

"Why does he needs to be recharged?" Gene spoke up.

"Where teleporting there. I don't want to risk the move since Im bringing my notes, If those infected got to this, we could be doomed." I said. "Alright let's get ready, Dante you first." I grabbed his hand to my room. I looked Dante up and down for what he needed. I flipped through my clothes and found a small black hoodie and threw it his way. "Here put this on," I said looking at him to see if I need anything else.

"Why?" He said putting it over his head.

"The less they can see of your face and feature, the harder it is to track you. I said putting his hood up over his head. I looked at Gene and put his hood on like his brother. And looked at him. "Your face is very easy to notice who it is," I said as I went through my stuff and pulled out a face mask. "Sorry it's not your eyes, but it will do," I said. "I'll give you a few minutes before we go."

"Alright, everyone ready?" I said determinedly the looked at each other with an uneasy look but nodded. "Okay, Jacob do the honors. Oh, and boys, try not to throw up thanks." as I finished my sentence Jacob teleported us to the place. It's kind of like when you disapparate in harry potter.

"Okay, you guys good?" I said stretching. They had sick looks on there faces.

"Uh yeah we're just peachy," Dante said. I sent Jacob back to the coin to recharge since he used a lot of energy.

"So how do we get in?" They look at each other and Gene walks up to me.

"Can you close your eyes?" He said I compiled. A few minutes later Gene told me to open them. When I looked Dante was gone.

"You ready?" He said I gave him a confused look. He did a backflip and I thought he was going to hit the wall I extend my arm to help him, but instead of hitting the wall he passed through it. I walked up to it and hit it. It was just a normal wall. I backed up and looked at it with confusion. I saw an arm come out of the wall, it was genes. I reached out and touched it and it grabbed my hand and pulled me though. I started to breathe heavy in shock.

"You have to have something in your blood to pass. Come on follow me" He said still holding my hand.

"That was super cool." we walked down the large halls when a man yelled.

"WHO'S THERE?" he yelled, with a gun in hand.

"Dean it's me, Gene," Gene said. He sighed and dropped the gun until he noticed me.

"WHOS SHE?" the man supposedly named Dean.

"Its okay shes with me," Gene said. Dean shot a warning shot at me.

"THAT THING IS NOT ALLOWED IN UNLESS LAURENCE SAYS SO IF THEY DON'T LEAVE I'LL SHOT IT!"
