My life was already a mess, moving to a new school makes it a wreck. My mom thought moving schools would help me break out of my shell. Like I'm some kind of damn snail. "Eden, pay attention,"My mom said. Like there was anything to pay attention to. The only thing that was interesting was the sound of a office keyboard being used. "Where were you born...," my mom asked with hesitation. Hell I thought, because I am the spawn of satan."Virginia, I said sarcastically. "No you weren't you were born in Florida" , "Then why did you ask me where I was born","Because I was hoping you remembered", "whatever,". I always wondered why, me and my mom never stayed in one place. State to state we went. I never got to have an official graduation I always leave the day before, or 2 day before the actual graduation. This is my freshmen year of high school I wish we could just stay here in Georgia. Most of our family is here and it would be fun to stay and live more than 5 months in a state. My mom ushered me up as I saw an old wrinkly man in a 1950s type suit. " Hello,Mrs.Adams I'm Principal Williams,". My mom responded with the most sweetest voice I have ever heard. I only heard her talk like that during work calls and with customer service people. "Eden.....Eden..," I came back, to see that the Williams guy has his hand extended. I intended to shake it but, I was skeptical . I hate shaking people's hands but, I did it anyway. "Are you ready to look around our wonderful school," Williams said. I shook my head, he kind of looked at me to see if it was a yes or a no. "Yes", I said. "Alright then, let's start the tour," Principal said as he held a door open. That led to the center of what looked like a cafeteria. This is the cafeteria and of course this is where the students and faculty eat lunch. My mom did a fake giggle as if the joke was really funny. We keep walking around the school, talking about old principles like they were founding fathers. We walked up two flights of stairs "And this is our stop," Williams said as he looked at me. He knocked on the door. A young woman maybe mid-30s answered the door. She had the eyes like the ocean. 'Hello, I'm Mrs.Armstrong your science teacher and you are...," "Eden...," I said. "What a beautiful name....". Mrs.Armstrong let me into the classroom. I was already aware of the looks I was going to get. As I looked around the room it looked to colorful to be science, I would except a language arts teacher have classroom like this. "I'll see you later honey love you," My mom said. "Ok, love you too,",As i said t i realized that everyone laughing like it was something funny. The doors, closed behind my mom and Williams. "Class this Eden, she's our new student. Take a seat wherever you like,". I looked around, all the desk seemed too close to one person or way in the back. Until I found one close to the window. As I walked over to the chair I could already her the whispers. " What the hell is she wearing,". I honestly wanted to reply "whatever the hell I want",but I was going to let it go for now. I sat down in the seat, it was perfect. Not to far in the back, not to close to anyone, just right. "Alright class, I was going to make you do work but since we have a new student (looks at me), we'll do something more fun,"Mrs.Armstrong said. She pulled out a sheets of paper and started to pass them back. "This paper is for all of us to get to know each other more." Why would I want to know anything about them,I only tolerate them because I have to go to school with them for four year or more like 6 months until we move..again. A tapping on my shoulder. I turned around,it was this gorgeous boy. Blue eyes and black hair. "Here you go,". I grabbed the papers and turned around, took a paper and passed it on. I never seen a person so beautiful. The paper was like an application to a job. It asked for race, age, hobbies, etc. "I don't understand how filling this paper out is going to change anything," boy behind me whispered. I laughed, I could tell he was looking over my shoulder to see what my paper said. "What you looking for," I said. "A name." "Eden." "Paradise." I looked at him in confusion. "Your name it has different meanings, not just the garden of Eden. It also means Paradise." "Cool". "Would you too like to share your conversation with the class.'" Mrs. Armstrong said
I looked at the gorgeous blue eyed boy and looked back at Mrs.Armstrong. "No, Armstrong we don't, does this conversation have to deal with the matters of Eden and not just the name but the meaning," blue eyed boy said. Mrs. Armstrong smiled and raised her hand and pointed to a picture of what looked like a page from a book. Everyone in the classed started to laugh, but I didn't get the joke. I just sat there and just waited for someone to tell me what happened, but no one did.
