Chapter 23: Colliding Perspectives

Jihyo's POV

The night came. Everyone's making the most of it even though it's raining hard. Drinking, partying at the beach and then tomorrow we're back to the usual.

Jeongyeon hasn't talked to me and worse, she's avoiding and ignoring me...

'Hey, Jihyo' Momo called out to me. She looked serious as she comes up to me.

'Mark, I'm borrowing her for a second' she asked but not letting the the man talk, she pulled me by my forearm.

'Momo, where are you bringing me? We're getting wet' I asked but she didn't respond not until we arrived at another waiting shed far form all the noise of partying.

She turned around and though I can't see much, see looked serious.

'Jeongyeon's drinking the night away. She's been blabbing about unrequited love' She stated making me confused.

'Why are you telling me this?'

'I'm telling you this because I haven't seen Jeongyeon like that. As in, never.'

It just left me speechless with the confusion going on. I'm trying to think what to say.

'You know, Jihyo. For a smart and independent person, you can be dense sometimes' she said which was the same thing Jeongyeon told me that night in the hospital.

'She likes you, Jihyo! Jeongyeon likes you. Now, she's drinking her problems away because she saw you making out with your boyfriend' her voice raised a little louder. As I try to process what she just said,

'What?! Last night? The time I went out to meet Mark? She followed me?' I asked. Panicking, my heart went wild.

'She grew worried for you. With enough curiosity, she even followed you in front of Mark's room' Momo sighed looking away.

I looked down and listened to the raindrops.

'I should explain to her... tell her what exactly happened...' I muttered.

I heard Momo scoffed so I looked up. There, a smirking Momo was shown.

'You really do. Tsh, Seungyeon-unnie told me what happened. Don't let this last long, Jihyo. It's only been a day, so go explain and apologize.' She smirked.

I blushed and turned into a tomato immediately.

'Now go on and explain to Jeongyeon. She really has to hear your side. She's in your room' She patted my shoulder firmly and smiled. I nodded

*knock knock*

I heard footsteps and the door opened. It's Nayeon unnie, Mina and Sana. They are all red,  I guess they had to put up with Jeongyeon.

'Thank god, Jihyo! You're here' Sana let our a big sigh.

'I'm so tipsy. Jeongyeon is a strong one' Mina stated. Her arm on Nayeon's shoulder as the older one assist her.

'Talk it out with her, Jihyo. We're worried for her' Nayeon unnie looked me straight in the eyes.

I nodded and they went off. I slowly went in and saw a laying Jeongyeon on the sofa. I saw canned of beers scattered around on the floor and multiple bottles of soju are on the table beside the my bed.

'They drank all of these?' I whispered.

I started gathering the can of beers and fixed the bed sheets for Jeongyeon to lie down,
