"What do the different colored strings mean?" Lydia asked, while laying on Stiles bed looking at his crime board.

"Oh, just different stages of the investigation. So green is solved, yellow is to be determined, blue's just pretty." Stiles explained.

"What does red mean?" Lydia asked.

"Unsolved." I answered.

"You only have red on the board." Lydia said.

"Yes, I'm aware. Thank you." Stiles said.

"Did you get detention for pulling the alarm?" Lydia asked.

"Yep. Every day this week. It's okay, though. We were onto something." Stiles said, encouraging her.

"Even though we couldn't find any proof of Barrow being there?" She said.

I was about to jump in when Stiles walked over to her.

"Hey, Lydia. You've been right every time something like this has happened, okay? So don't start doubting yourself now."

"No scent. No bomb. And I got you in trouble." Lydia said, wrapping a red string around her finger.

"Okay, look." Stiles said, grabbing her hand and the string, beginning to unwrap it. "Barrow was there. All right? You knew it. You felt it. Okay? And look, if you wanted to, I'd go back to that school right now and search all night just to prove it." Stiles said, making her smiled, before having a breakthrough. "Get up. Get up now. We're going to the school." He said walking out, leaving Lydia and I to chase him.

On our ride there I got a text from Isaac.

isaac lahey: 9:46 PM -  Watcha up to? :)

brooke: 9:46 PM- on my way to the school with lyd and stiles

isaac lahey: 9:47 PM- Might I ask why?

brooke: 9:47 PM- i dont exactly know, how about you?

isaac lahey: 9:48 PM- Helping Allison with the Beastiary

brooke: 9:48 PM- you can read latin?

isaac lahey: 9: 50 PM- No, but I am an expert at looking at pictures. ;)

"So what are we looking for?" Lydia asked as we entered the chemistry lab and stiles opened the chemical closet. "That was supposed to be locked."

"Yeah. I know. Notice anything else?" Stiles asked.

"It smells like chemicals." I said and Stiles raised his eyebrows at us.

"They wouldn't have been able to catch his scent." Lydia said.

Stiles began searching for clues and found blood drips and staples on the floor.

"He was here, performing very minor surgery on himself. You were right." Stiles said.

"Then why don't I feel good about this?" Lydia asked.

"Probably because he was here to kill somebody." I said.

"But who?" Lydia asked.

"That's what we gotta figure out." He said, walking back into the classroom and walking around.

"We could spread out, start looking for...Anything." I said as we started scanning the room.

"Lydia, what are those?" Stiles asked as Lydia noticed the board.

"Atomic numbers" She said.

"Is it a formula?" He asked.

"Not really." She said. "19's potassium. 53's iodine. 88's radium."
