I loved the drums.

My heart beat pumped in time with the beat. It have me a high, a boost of adrenalin that flowed through my veins and into my brain.

I thought of nothing but the sound, the beat and the rhythm and playing in time with the other instruments i played with. I concentrated on the way the words of the songs that I sang came out of my month into the mic.

I listened for when to harmonise and when to start singing lower or softer, higher or lower. I listened to everything but the roaring crowd to know when to stop or start singing or playing the drums.

I didn't think about my hair flying all over the place, or smiling for the crowd because I already knew I was. I ignore the sweat that was dripping down my forehead.

I only concentrated on playing the drums and singing the songs.

And then Ashton Irwin started showing up.
