Chapter Six: What?! What Just Happened?

(Alice’s POV)

We had a pop quiz in Math about yesterday’s topic and judging to everyone’s faces, except Blake, they were all flustered on how to solve it. I mean come on, it was so easy! Once everyone was done, we checked our papers and I got perfect while Blake got one mistake. Ha! I win, Blake. YEHET for me and Kkaepsong for you. I think everyone else got fair grades.

Suddenly, our homeroom teacher came in and asked our Math teacher if Blake and I can be excused then he said yes. Then-Wait WHAT?! Am I in trouble?! What is happening?! I wore my worried face and went out where my teacher was waiting.

“So, you must be wondering why you are being excused to talk to me today. Am I right?” She starts. We nodded.

“I heard you two recently auditioned to the talent show then the results came out and you failed. Right?” She continued and we nod again.

“I’m here to tell you that one of the contestants dropped out so…” Wait, one of them dropped out? I hope it is not Drake.

“…you two will be partners for the show since they can’t find a replacement, it was between you two and both of you looked good together.” She winked.

YAY! I’m in the contest with-WHAT?! It’s not like I don’t like to be in the contest, it’s just… being with Blake was awkward even what happened at the rooftop earlier.

“So, will you accept it?” She asked.

“Uh… sure” I said it while being flustered while Blake accepted it like it was nothing.

“Don’t worry. We’ll do our best on stage.” He said. Now, I was really nervous. I hope Drake will not be angry.

“I’m pretty sure you will do great. Not only both of you are the smartest people in class but also talented.” She smiled.

“Ok! You can go back to class now.” She said and we came back to class. Our teacher said thanks to the math teacher while I sat down all flustered. Like what Timmy Tuner says, what just happened?

(Drake’s POV)
Our teacher came in and asked for Alice and Blake. Ok, what did he do?! I hope he didn’t make her cry or he will taste for my fist. I really hope she was not trouble. I really wanted to hug her because the result came out and I passed while Alice didn’t. I wanted to talk to her.

~Fast Forward to Dismissal~

I waited for Alice to finish cleaning since she was usually the last people to clean. But I can’t wait to ask because I wanted to punch that jerk if he did something wrong.

“Hey, Drake! What’s wrong? You’ve been spacing out.” Her voice snapped my out to reality.

“What happen a while ago when the teacher called you? Did he get into trouble?” I had to ask that too.

“No. It’s about the talent show.”

“What about it?”

“A contestant dropped out so Blake and I are partners for the show because they can’t choose between us for the replacement.” I’m glad that- WHAT?!

“So, you and Blake are in the contest as a group?”

“Yep pretty much.”

I can’t believe this. It should've be me. I dance like Kim Jongdae (A/N: The irony...). Well, it was too late then. I hoped he doesn’t do anything funny. But at the same time, I was super shocked and flustered on what happen. Like a character says, what just happened?
