The caravan of Northern men and southern men stopped at an inn. Arya was away, playing some game with the butcher's boy. Sansa was walking Lady, and Morlyna was sitting beneath a tree reading a book with Onyx beside her. It was some book she had borrowed from the king. It was old but barely read, she had a few guesses as to why. The king had stopped by the tree and given it to her.
Her new metal leg was off to the side, she enjoyed the feeling of it being off. She didn't feel so weighed down. She didn't feel the pain of the pins digging into her skin.
Her mind wandered off to the lord Tyrion. He was clever, and smart, but there was something about him that made Morlyna curious. Perhaps it was his face. Handsome in an unconventional sense. Perhaps it was the fact that she too was viewed as a monster.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a feminine sounding scream. Reattaching her leg, and getting up, she made her way over to the sound. There laid the prince rolling on the ground crying, holding his arm. Sansa looked panicked, and Arya was holding a sword to the Prince
"Sansa, go get help. Now. Arya leave" Morlyna directed. Arya threw the sword into the river and ran away once the words left Morlyna's lips.
She bent by the prince and attempted to help him up though he cried in pain and anger. "Leave me alone you cripple!"
"My Prince, I am just attempting to help, but I will leave you be. I'm sure Sansa will be back soon."
"Wait. Do you at least have something for the pain?"
"I do. A few drops of Milk of the Poppy will likely help."
She offered him the bottle and allowed him to sip the equivalent of a few drops. "Better?"
"Yes..." the prince looked away, feeling shame for needing help but relief all the same from the release of pain.
Sansa came back with guards soon after. Morlyna stepped back and watched as they took the prince away.
It was later the day and Arya was no where to be found. A search party had been sent out. But it had been hours since she was last seen. When she was at last found, she was brought before the king. Morlyna stood in the back of the hall watching silently.
"-she just bit him a little." Arya defended.
From what it sounded like, someone was lying and she never took her sister as a liar. That left the Prince Joffery. Sansa was soon called forward.
"Don't lie Sansa. Don't lie" Morlyna mumbled to her self. The next thing she knew Arya was attacking their sister. She lied.
"And what of the direwolf? What of the beast that savaged your son?" Cersei asked.
With Nymiria missing, Cersei suggested another. Either Lady or Onyx.
"Not Onyx! He didn't do anything. My King, you saw him. He's good."
"So is Lady!"
"Fuck me. I saw Onyx with you Morlyna. He's small and tame like a dog. I will leave him be. Ned she'll be happier if you get her a dog."
"No not Lady! Lady didn't do anything!"
"Is this your command?" Their father asked the King, but he said nothing and walked away.
Sansa was crying now. "Why does she get to keep her wolf? Why?"
"I'm sorry Sansa. I don't.."
"Get away from me. You're a disgusting monster and I wish you were never born!"
Morlyna, looked down and left the hall. Tears welling in her eyes. "I'm sorry" she whispered.
