6:30 AM
The sunshine covered the entirety of my room turning it into a golden colour, it was pretty early but mom already called me for breakfast. I sat down at the table with my eyes barely open just like Jasper's, nana was still at the kitchen with something that smelled so heavenly and I thanked god it wasn't cereal.
Mom looked fairly excited and had a smile on. "Isn't it exciting, we're going to see the town!" She began enthusiastically while some of us still half awake.
"I just hope it doesn't rain so we could see the whole town." Dad added as he read today's newspaper as usual, though he only looked through the sport's section.
Nana left the kitchen and joined us at the table "if it does rain you still have a lot of time on your hands to see the town." She said as she took a sip from her hot cup of coffee.
"We do, anyways aren't you two excited?" Mom replied "it's been a long time since I've been to the port and I met your aunt Cecile there when I was Andraste's age."
"Mom I saw Andraste talking with a boy yesterday." The evil little demon blabbed while looking at me with his annoying smile.
"Shut up," I rolled my eyes at him "it was just our neighbour, Piers. I bumped into him yesterday thought I'd invite him to the port."
"Oh, the lovely boy next door," nana smiled as she took an apple from the bowl with an assortment of fruits "he paints lovely paintings, he gave me one but I can't seem to find a nice place to put it so I just keep it in the attic."
"I'm not sure about this boy." Dad argued as he puts down his newspaper and started to eat.
"Relax dad, I'm 16 anyway and he looks harmless, he's a wee tiny goat." I joked considering his size, he is fairly large and he is taller than 4-5 inches than me.
"Well nana says Piers does paintings, he might influence Andraste." Mom implied, she only said that since she was in a good mood but usually she wouldn't let me go out that much.
"your daughter's old enough to go on her own," nana related her agreement "I didn't stop you from playin' with your band did I?"
After a moment of silence he finally lets out a sigh and agrees to let me go with Piers and that relieved me so much that the breath I held felt like storm as I let it out.
They left after two hours and left me in the house on my own but before that I had to go through a heavy load of manuals on how to lock the door including training on how to not leave with any appliance on, it was all extremely helpful and I didn't even know these stuff back then I only learned them now.
Since there was an hour left before nine I decided to look for Piers' painting however I still couldn't find it and half an hour has already passed so I needed to get dressed. I picked up a plain shirt and rolled up the sleeves and wore my mom jeans that have been with me for 3 years, this is somehow a good thing since I don't have to waste money on buying new ones but it means that I haven't grown in those 3 years.
9:23 AM
I managed to get to the port before 9:30 and started to look for Piers but it seems like he isn't nowhere near here but I still continued to find him but he found me instead, he made his grand appearance by coming up from behind me and scaring the crap out of me and I hope he thanked God that I coped with my anger.
"So what's our agenda cap'?" He laughed as I recover from his evil surprise attack.
"Before everything, what the hell's with the cops?" I asked as we continued on walking on the port.
"Well, it's a very long story," he smiled so innocently while scratching the back of his neck but before he could say anything else the rain started pouring so we ran to the nearest shop with a canopy to seek shelter from the rain.
"Wow, what fun this is." I sarcastically said along with the sarcastic smile and everything.
"Come on we can still have fun you know." He laughed as he opened the shop's doors only to find it was a lovely café and the scent of the coffee found its way to my nose and attracted by the smell while also finding a way to cope with the cold weather I got into the shop.
We ordered some coffee and got seated by the window, the coffee warmed up my system and the scene outside just looked so perfect, I've never felt more relaxed.
"So about the cops," I began while we both enjoyed our brews "you didn't think I would forget huh?"
"Yes, about the cops," he settled down his cup it seems like a long one "you see, I've been into art lately."
"My nana said you painted her a painting." I mentioned seeing nana wasn't lying just to get dad to agree with her.
"Oh that," he looked surprised as he said that "God, did you see it?" He suddenly looked terrified like it's a bad thing.
"No, I haven't but I'm planing to have a look at it later." I said plainly but I didn't expect his reaction to it.
"God please don't," he pleaded slightly raising his voice with terror painted across his face "just please don't, I painted that a long time ago."
"What? Was that some sort of emo painting?" I started imagining what he painted for nana, maybe its him but poorly painted.
"Just please don't." He sounded so desperate that I actually felt sorry for him because I'm still going to look at it.
"Oh look," I paused looking outside "the rain stopped, let's go but you're still going to tell me about the cops." The sky was kind of clearing off and some rays of sunshine are peering through the clouds.
"Actually, you know what I'm just going to show you." He suddenly sounded excited but I had no idea what he's planning.
We got out of the café and he lead the way, we left the port and into a deeper part of town where people seem to know Piers, people from the shops started greeting him and some other people walking down the street. We turned to a street where it had barely anyone there but as we got farther from the people I slowly got worried, what if this guy was involved in crime and I fell into his trap and I'm about to get murdered! But then he stopped walking as we reached a wall, a wall filled with colourful images of what seems to be monsters, some with horns and some with fangs.
"Here we are." He said plainly looking at the wall slightly smiling at it.
"What do you mean?" I asked still confused of what he was trying to say, clueless to what this piece of art was to him.
"I did this," he smiled tracing the lines of his work "while finishing this up the popo showed up and I barely got enough time to run but I somehow managed to run back to the house."
"This is really good, I didn't expect this from you." I praised him but I truly did not expect such a guy to have talent in art but this is still illegal, he could've got caught.
His phone suddenly rang but he answered it away from me so I couldn't scoop up some tea.
"Who was that? If you don't mind me asking." I asked as he finished his call turning back to me.
"Oh, it was my girlfriend Samantha."
