Elizabeth Winters

Probably the most stubborn girl you'd ever meet. And quite scary, really. You wouldn't want to get on her bad side... And if you did, Ouch. She was born in Seattle before she and her family moved to Virginia. They moved when she was around five, so she didn't remember much of Seattle. Her half brother Nathan is ten years and twenty-one days older than , she doesn't like being called little. Despite being short, she hates it and will step on your toes. Her birthday was March 30th, she isn't as quite excited for it this year. She'd be turning sixteen. Sixteen is her unlucky number. Elizabeth was a little annoyed that her brother Nathan was born January 1st, because who wouldn't want such a cool birthday. Nathan never seemed to like it so She and Nathan shared a party, gifts, a birthday. He liked it a lot better than "Christmas, oh shit it's his birthday." Nathan quite loved sharing birthdays with his little sister.

Everything was fine until her step-mother passed away. Nathan had just turned eighteen and moved away for college in Oregon. Nathan had only come back for the funeral, he sadly couldn't stay. Her father became a drunk, a very abusive drunk. She'd go to school with bruises and cuts. But... No one seemed to question it. Ever. Elizabeth was a wild child. She'd get into fights and arguments with her teachers. Often getting expelled. She switched schools more often then actually going to school. She had just turned fifteen, and as usual. Nothing for her birthday. Or Christmas. It had been a couple days since her dad came home. She didn't mind it at all. Elizabeth wasn't even worried. Because she didn't care. She hated that old man more than she hated tight spaces, she'd gladly sit in a small locked room as long as it was away from him. Elizabeth saw on the news a man had been murdered and another in the hospital after being stabbed around three times, ouch. A picture of her father labeled as the murderer. She sat and watched the news when she heard a click from the front door. Her drunken father stumbled in with a knife. She got up from the couch and walked to the entry way. Her father had passed out as soon as he entered the apartment. Elizabeth took this as her chance to call 9-1-1. When she was on the phone with the police her father stumbled up behind her with the knife. He tried to stab her but Elizabeth had stumbled backwards and fallen on her ass. She scrambled to her feet, Elizabeth screamed but he came closer. She heard police sirens but they weren't to the apartment yet. So she did the most incredibly stupid thing ever. She grabbed a vase and smashed it over his head. It shattered upon impact. Her father fell, he'd have a really nice concussion after this. He had a gash on his forehead where she hit him. The cops finally got to the apartment, they arrested her now conscious father and took her in for questioning. After all the court stuff her father was sentenced to 66 years in prison for Murder, attempted murder, and domestic violence. The court turned her over to her brother, Nathan. He gladly took her in. Turns out Nathan had gotten married. His wife, piper, was 2 months pregnant. Elizabeth gushed over piper and baby names came out of her mouth every time they talked. They were instant friends. He became a teacher and worked at a nearby high school. Elizabeth would be starting there as a sophomore after winter break ended.

She had more freedom then she ever had in her entire life. Nathan and Piper even let her out whenever she wanted. Elizabeth had claustrophobia so it helped a lot that they were so lenient with her by letting her go outside. They even let her have the room with the balcony, even though they were planning on it being the nursery. But piper insisted that the plans could be changed. And the balcony wouldn't be safe for the baby. Despite them being so lenient, they still worry, a lot. Especially when Elizabeth falls asleep at her favorite spot in the woods.

The house they lived in was way out in the middle of the forest. The only other properties out there were about 5 miles away. It was a huge community, worked for some big company and apparently it provided housing, some houses were close together and some sprawled out. Nathan said they basically owned most of the forests there in Oregon. And even some in Washington. And somehow Nathan was apart of this giant company as well as teaching. Piper too. She wondered how many jobs they worked.

Either way, Elizabeth had her favorite spot in the entire forest. A big cozy tree that sat in the middle of a meadow. Sometimes Elizabeth didn't even come home, she had fallen asleep right there at that very tree. Though, not very often. Nathan scolded her for it. Elizabeth couldn't help it though. She'd spend hours mapping the forest. She knew it like the back of her hand. And she'd only been there three weeks. This time, Elizabeth was there before hand. She'd forgotten her bag and had to go get it before she started school the next day. It seems our little trouble maker decided she wanted to sit down and take a nap. Well it was all going normally. Well, until she woke up with a fluffy over sized wolf pup on her lap.

Jacob Summers

Jacob grew up in Oregon. The future Alpha of the NightShade pack. His dad, the current alpha, and his mom, his dad's luna and wife, led the pack currently. The nightshade pack is not that big, excluding the higher ranks, the pack was only had a population of a hundred or so. Still difficult to run no less, and Jacob had only been preparing for this all his life, no pressure. He definitely wasn't nervous.

The Alphas, Betas, and Gammas first shift when they turn three. As to the other pack members, they shift when they turn sixteen, that's also when they can finally find their mates. The Alphas, Betas, and Gammas don't find their mates until they turn sixteen. Alphas, and their Betas and Gammas take over the pack when they turn eighteen.

But In training all his life the only friends he had really were his beta, her mate and gamma, not to mention his little brother.

His gamma had turned sixteen around a week ago, and as for Jacob, he turned sixteen November 12th. It felt weird being the oldest out of the two, his Beta and Gamma. But he delt with it. As for his brother, he turned five August sixth.

He's already thinking of his next birthday. Though, there's a little crisis. Jacob's brother had gone missing about three days ago. There were so many wolves out there looking for him that if rogues attack they might not be able to keep themselves together. The entire pack was stressing about him missing. Everybody loved him. It wouldn't surprise Jacob at all if he had three girlfriends by the end of his first day at kindergarton. He would start next year when he turned six, that is if they find him.

To say the least, It was quite surprising when some of his warriors mind linked him at 1 in the morning saying his little brother curled up with a sleeping human girl. And his only response was 'What the fuck?'

Now, what happens when these two opposites attract? Summer and Winter. Disciplined and Undisciplined. She brought out the best in him. And he showed her an entirely different world.
