A/N I'm so sorry that it took so long... I've been procrastinating. I can't believe that it took this long... Secrets is one of my favorite episodes. There are no Halloween party scenes, sorry.

"Sorry that I'm not coming, Megan," Jade said as she watched her friend make cookies.

"But you're a sophomore in college, so you're to cool for a highschool Halloween party?" Megan said.

"Exactly. I'd rather not be in a room full of loser highschoolers." Megan playfully smacked her with her cookbook.

"Ouch!" Jade shrieked, pretending to be hurt. The girls looked at each other and laughed.

The Zeta announced the arrival of someone. "Zatanna Zatara, B09." Zatanna materialized.

"Hey, guys! How's it going?"

"Well, it was going great until Miss Jade decided that she was too cool for highschool and that she'd rather hang out here alone." Jade simply shrugged.

"Wait," Zatanna said. "Alone? What about Roy?"

"He's hanging out with Dad today," Jade said.

Zatanna snorted. "Hanging out with his future father-in-law? Sounds like fun."

Jade choked on air. "Father-in-law?!"

"Yeah, father-in-law," Zee said.

"I mean," Megan said. "You and Roy are obviously going to get married. Why not go ahead and say it now?"

Jade's face turned as red as a patch of strawberries, or traffic only consisting of fire trucks. "Shut up," She muttered. Her friends laughed.

"It's true," Megs teased.

"Why deny it?" Zee added.

"Leave me alone," Jade muttered, earning more laughter.

"Hey, Jade and I can have a girl's night!" Zee suggested.

"Sure," Jade said.

"Meg, do you wanna come?"

"Nah. I'm good. But thanks anyway."

-A few hours later-

Jade kicked the last guy in the face, knocking him out cold.

Zatanna looked at the five unconscious guys on the ground and said, "That might've been a little harsh."

Jade shook her head. "Nah. They were mugging that girl. They had it comin'."

"I guess you're right."

"Of course I'm right. No harm done."

"Actually, you're wrong," A new voice said. The girls looked up to see a pale man with long brown hair and three red scars on his face. "Much harm is still to come." Their bikes exploded.

-timeskip-

Jade woke up tied to a chair. She looked around the room. There was a bed against the wall, and the room was filled with animal trophies. There was a TV in front of her. It showed Zatanna tied to a chair, Jade's crossbow aimed at her head.

She struggled to remember what happened. She remembered a white haired girl leading them to a fire escape, fighting that Harm guy, following the girl to a building, and being knocked out. She remembered seeing the girl- Secret, she and Zee had tagged the girl, given that that was all that she said- standing next to Harm before everything went black.

Through all the thoughts in her head, a phrase that Harm told her was on repeat. "It struggles with inner demons. It cannot fight Harm while fighting itself." The line had infuriated Jade, but it had made her realize that her inner demons- i.e., Artemis- needed to be controlled in her mind. It could interfere in a fight. Any fight, not just the ones with her sister like she had previously thought.

Suddenly, she sensed Harm behind her. "How did you find Harm's home?" He hissed in her ear. "Answer or your friend gets an arrow in her skull."

"Ask your little partner. She lead us here!"

"Harm has no partner. Harm is pure and works alone."

Jade was confused. If he worked alone, then who was Secret?

Zatanna woke up tied to a chair, Jade's crossbow aimed at her head. She repeatedly tried a spell to release her, but it didn't work, not with the duck tape that was covering her mouth. Suddenly, she saw Secret wall towards her and reach out her pale hand. Zatanna leaned away, but Secret still grabbed the tape and pulled it off. Zatanna repeated the spell, which untied her. She repeated the spell, hoping that Jade would be untied, too, if she had been tied up, too. She looked around the room, which was clearly a girl's. There was a picture on the nightstand of Harm without a scar and a blonde girl about her age who looked a lot like Secret.

"Wait, you live with this nut job?"

"Secr-"

"Yeah, yeah. I know, I know, secret." Zatanna threw the picture onto the girl's bed.

She took off, following Secret, until she ran into Jade.

"What she doing here?!" Jade cried, seeing Secret. "Who's side are you on?!"

"Secret," The blonde girl, Zatanna assumed that it must've been bleached or dyed or something to look white, hissed urgently. Then she disappeared. Jae and Zee could hear Harm coming, and quickly ran outside. Harm had basically caught up to them, but Jade quickly threw a sai behind her, which Harm easily caught. Gas drifted from the open oven and sparked something coating the sai.

Harm's eyes widened in realization. "Why that little-" The kitchen exploded.

Jade and Zatanna, standing outside, looked around for Secret. Zatanna caught sight of a grave marker. "'Greta Hayes,'" She read. "'Beloved sister.'" Suddenly Secret rose up from the grave, startling the two heroes, who shrieked. Zatanna's eyes grew wide. "You're Greta Hayes," She said. "This is you." Secret nodded. "How-how did you die?"

Secret held her hands out, palms up, and an image of a dagger appeared. "Harm's dagger," Jade said in disbelief. She looked behind her. "Get down!" Harm's sword flew over their heads.

"How dare you come here?" Harm growled. "How dare you defile Harm's holy place?"

"You defiled it!" Jade yelled in shocked horror and disgust. "You did this! To your own sister!" Harm smirked. "You're proud of it?" Jade asked in disgust.

"In order to wield the sword, Harm's heart had to be pure. Greta had to be cut out, excised like a infected wound."

Suddenly Greta appeared and walked up to him. His eyes widened, then he relaxed. "It has cast another spell."

"But it didn't speak," Zatanna said. "Harm knows that it has to speak to conjure an illusion."

Harm looked on edge again as Greta walked closer and closer to him. "Harm's heart is pure," He said desperately. "Harm's not sorry! He's not!" Greta reached into his chest, pulling out the glowing power source, which she disposed of. The sword immediately went back into its sheath. "It's alright. Harm doesn't need the sword." He growled.

Jade then attacked him. He tried to fight back, but she was just too strong. "It struggles with inner demons. It cannot fight me while fighting itself," She said harshly. She kicked the man in the head, knocking him out cold. Zatanna muttered a spell, turning his white jacket into bonds that held him tight.

"We'll make sure that you receive a proper burial," Zatanna promised Greta, who nodded before sinking back into the ground.

"I just can't believe that someone could do that- to their own sister!" Jade exclaimed, clearly even more disturbed about the events than Zee. "If I... if my..." Her voice trailed off.

"If you or if your what, Jade?"

"Nothing," Jade replies, looking away.

"Jae, talk to me. Secrets don't stay buried, obviously. It's better to bring them out into the light."

"I don't have any secrets," Jade muttered unconvincingly. She walked to the fence, looking through a hole in it. "Zatanna, look!"

Zatanna walked up to her friend and looked through the hole. There was a neon sign for the magic store across the street with only one word lit. "Must've been the last thing Greta ever saw," She said sadly, reading the word. Secret.
