Chapter 15

Grian jerked awake with a sharp gasp, panting as tears ran down his face.

He sat there for a moment, trying to process what had just happened.

It had to have been a nightmare. He's had them before so it wasn't out of the question...

He moved to pull his arms around himself but felt the chains rattle.

Wait...

No...

Oh, Notch, please, no!

Grian froze before hesitantly turned only to see NPC leaning against the wall.

NPC noticed his gaze and met it as he slowly started to grin sinisterly at him.

He had been examining the bloodied blade, the substance covering his hand, staining it.

The blood dripped from the blade and his hand to the floor.

Grian paled as he felt a chill go down his spine as he realized.

He was just getting started...

EX was scribbling notes down on a piece of paper, occasionally glancing at Xisuma's unconscious form on the bed, making sure he was still there as he waited for him to wake up.

He stopped mid sentence hearing faint screaming and crying coming from the other hidden room.

He closed his eyes and sighed quietly, pinching the bridge of his nose before adding to the piece of paper.

To Do:

Make a base - Done

Make a plan - Done

Upgrade NPC - Very successful (too successful?)

Teach NPC limitations - Not sure he understood

Capture Xisuma and Grian - Successful

Revenge -

He glanced at the door where the noises had come through and back at the paper.

Successful(?)

He quickly jotted some extras.

Make secret rooms fully sound-proof (screaming is obnoxious and makes me lose focus)

Use NPC to make the others falsely secure?

Take over attempt #1964

He nodded to himself at that before noticing Xisuma slowly starting to stir. He grabbed his helmet and placed it back on, shoving the paper in his pocket and heading over to his brother.

Xisuma groaned before wincing in pain from the wound on his back. "Wh-wha?" He mumbled before noticing EX standing nearby. "Oh. Great."

EX frowned. "I could have just let you die." He hissed.

"Then why didn't you?"

"...I needed you here..." he muttered.

X smirked. "So you couldn't have let me die."

EX glared. "Shut up or I'll-"

"You won't."

"What makes you so sure?!"

"You said you 'needed me'."

EX growled and turned away before tossing a potion of healing at him. "Just... Recover. And don't try to escape."

Xisuma held the potion before hesitating. "Where's Grian?"

EX stopped before allowing the smallest of smirks grace his lips. "He's busy at the moment, but I'll tell him to come say hi if you want him to."

X's eyes widened. "What? Why is he helping you? What did you do?!"

EX just chuckled as he left.

"EX! Answer me! Xenos!"
