Lonesome

I'm starting to hate my routine.

Everyday I wake up, food is ready in my room. After eating all I do is lay on my bed or sit on the single sofa.

I'm like a damsel in distress, waiting to be saved.

Some say I'm like a princess. And just on cue, there's a knock on my room and comes a girl who works here. I forgot her name.

"Ms. Im, it's time for your bath", I just followed her to the bathroom. Yes, someone helps me take a bath as well.

"How have you been doing? What's your name again", I asked her as she washes the shampoo off.

The girl chuckled at me, "I'm Sana, Ms. Im. I've been around you for almost a month now, everyday."

I just nodded. The bath went on without any of us talking. Sana's a great girl. She helped me dry myself and even my hair after being clothed.

"Thank you, Sana."

"You're always welcome, Ms. Im. Don't you want to go out?"

"I'm locked up in this place, what am I supposed to do? Has Himchan visited yet", I pouted.

Himchan had been seeing me every now and then when he's not busy. He's the most soft being ever. He always brings flowers for me even though there's no special occasion. I'm just lucky to have him by my side.

'Ow', my head was aching.

"I'm just saying, Ms. Im", she nods and her eyes were searching for something. She walked by my bedside table, "You haven't taken your meds, Ms. Im. Better take it."

She handed me a bottled water and what seems to be my medication. I gladly took it and handed her back the water.

"So, Ms. Im if you decide to go out of your room and at least watch television outside, tell me. I'll be at your service, just press the beeper", with that, she went out.

The last time Himchan was here, he went with his parents. It was his dad's birthday and they decided to celebrate it here with my family.

Our siblings even teased us about being a married couple since we've been together since our high school days.

Again, there's a knock on my door as I just settled on my bed.

"Good morning Ms. Im", a doctor along with Sana. "How are you doing? Feeling better?"

"Just a pang of headache but I'm feeling better", he walked to me and checked my temperature.

"You got no more fever, that's great", he smiled.

"Got no more in house to attend to", he just nodded and placed a pile of papers on the coffee table. Sana brought the breakfast I've finished with her and left the room.

Dr. Jeon sat on the single sofa and munched on the peanuts in the jar. He's aging, his side burn had some sort of gray along with the original black. It's been so long the last I needed him to check on me, grandpa was still alive.

"I see you really grew nice. Momo always tells me about how pretty you've grown", he started off.

"Momo", he nods. "Ah yeah, Hirai Momo. She became a doctor like you."

Momo was one of my close friends back in high school. It was crazy how we partied at night not minding how we had exams the next day. Free spirit would be an understatement to describe how our circle of friends was like. But then we got into college, we parted ways. Other went to pursue their courses overseas that we lost contact.
