MADELEINE's POV
To say my boss looked furious is an understatement. She practically has smoke coming out of her ear. And the way she was looking at me, let's just say if looks can burn Satan will have been so jealous of me being so 'smokin' hot.
But what caught my attention more was the strikingly handsome man in a suit that was standing next to my boss.
"I'm glad you find me a ' hot big-time ' chéf, darling." He said while looking at me with a smirk. I would've been mad at him for complicating things if it wasn't for a blush creeping on his cheek and his ears turning red. I mean who flirts and blushes after ward?
My eyes wonder into the room until they settle on Danielle the betrayer. She could have told me all of them were in the meeting room but no she just had to let me stumble into the room badmouthing our seemingly guest. I keep glaring onto her while she tries to give me that sorry look. Sorry hun, not working.
My boss cleared her throat - awkwardly I must say - that turned my attention back to her.
"Madeleine would you please come in?"
"Sure thing, boss."
I stepped into the room and after I gazed at her for about five seconds to see she won't jump me, I moved to stand before her and he 'who shall not be named'.
"Madeleine I'd like to properly introduce you to our new client, who you apparently have heard about before. This is Zachary O'Connor. And Zachary this is Madeleine Scott she'll will be communicating with you during this project." Well that was much of an introduction.
"Nice to meet you Mi'lady." He said with a terrible British accent before taking my hand in his and bowing down to kiss it. Under normal circumstances I'd have blushed, I swear. But seeing his ear turning red again sent me into a laughing fit.
"Ha haha aha ahaha haha ha hahaha"
I continued laughing. Sensing the glare from my boss AGAIN I tried to calm my self down which worked after a moment.
"Would you like to share what's funny Ms. Madeleine?" She asked.
"No thanks, I'm good. Mrs. White" I replied. It kinda seems like highschool now.
"Anyways I have to go now to discuss the project with Mr. O'Connor. Come by my office after lunch time to get started." She said before taking the chéf with her and living the room.
Once the door was closed I turned my head towards my 'bff' and gave her I'll kill you sign before chasing her in the room.
"I'll kill you. You idiot! How could you not tell me he's here?!?" I said while still chasing her.
"I'm sorry. I swear I didn't know you'd walk right in talking about him." she said while hiding behind a table.
"I'll still kill yo-" "Arrgh"
As I was about turn to the left I bumped into someone. And me being me of course had to go straight to the chest by the nose. Damn it hurts.
"Hey you alright?" I looked up to find Jack aka my crush of two years talking to me.
"Yeah, I'm good. Thanks." I said and he started to walk off after nodding his head. But suddenly a light bulb went off in my head. And before I can stop it-
"Hey Jack!" I called out.
"Yes" he turned.
For a brief moment I made a contact with Danielle, who was frantically shaking her head at me as if to so no like she already knew what I was going to do. She couldn't possibly know, could she?
I ignored her anyway and focused my attention back on Jack who is now standing besides me.
And then.....at that exact moment.... My inner lady gaga flourished.
