Genetics and home economics
Oh no! Seems like you got pregnant with your partner at this given moment. Now you'll have a baby in 9 months (and abortion isn't what you want.)
Together with your partner: How does the fertilizing process work? Explain on cellular level. What sex is the baby? Explain the chromosomes and the physical differences between a female and male, what genes will they get? How do they look? How did it occur? Did your given birth control have any risks? Did you use protection at all? What happens during the future 9 months? Explain the major events in detail and the whole process in brief. Lastly, how does the birth process work? (pp. 67-79)
Once the baby is delivered: What insurance is there when it comes to babies and pregnancy? What are the insurance costs? What do you need in your home now that you're growing by one? What are the costs? Use google and follow the links at the end of the instruction.
Try thinking of all possible costs and what you need to do to support your new baby. (You're teen parents.) Can you study or do you have to drop out? If you want, you can tell your parents that you are/got someone pregnant. See how your parents react and what they'll do. (I have total understanding if it's a controversial subject, do it you feel comfortable otherwise just ask how they would feel. However, it might be good to know the real reaction. If any issues with your parents appear tell them to contact me.)
Minimum: 2000 words
Good luck!
"Okay so" I say after we've both read it through. "Congrats on becoming a teen parent."
"You too."
"Do you want to prank your mom about this? I can do it with dad but he'll probably flip out and kill me" I say, trying to loosen up the awkwardness in the air. I can feel his awkward energy radiate through the air. He's uncomfortable about the whole us pretending to be parents, I don't care. The assignment isn't impossible, the subject isn't completely incredibly hard to understand.
"I can tell her. I think she would be disappointed but supportive."
"Oh, I wish" I roll my eyes. "Let's prank them till next class and come up with what to do after that. But we can come up with how I got pregnant now."
"Sounds like a plan" he pauses and looks like he's thinking. "How about you forget to take the birth control pill?"
"Well, seems like something I would do" I say. "It's realistic."
"How much detail does he want?"
I snort. "I don't think he wants the sex part in detail, or wait this is sex ed, does he?" I think out loud. "We're eighteen, sorry and nineteen, I think we all know how the whole sex thing works."
"Yeah" Sam breathes. "But still."
I roll my eyes. "I'll ask him."
I raise my hand and a minute later he's there. Mr. Jackson is overly happy, like he's proud of this whole project or something. "Congrats guys."
I sigh. "How detailed do you need the whole 'conceive-part' to be?"
"Be creative guys, no need to go into detail at that specific part, I went through the basics two years ago, you know it by now. But I'd still want you to use your fantasy."
"Okay thanks" I say and watch him leave, then I turn back to Sam. "Prank your mom before Saturday and tell me how it went when I get there. And don't you dare tell her before you know what she'd do."

I feel like fainting when dad gets home that day. Sam didn't get me pregnant, hell, I'm the one hooking up with his cousin. It would be even worse telling dad that since it's actually real. But this is just as painful. Please don't kill me dad.
