I'll Help You | Colby Brock

Chapter 3

We got back to Kat's within 20 minutes.
"You've been so quiet Alisha, are you feeling ok? Do you need anything?" She asked concerned.
"No I'm fine" I said.
"Y/n, tell me what's going on" she pleaded.
"I-I dont know" I whispered.
"How about this? We get all comfy with snacks then we can have a girl talk?" She suggested.
"Ok" I smiled.

So, we got into some cute comfy pyjamas and got some snacks and got all comfy on the couch.
"So. Now. Why don't we talk about what's going on?" She asked.
"I don't know if you wanna know. I've only ever told two other people... and one of them laughed in my face and went behind my back..." I sighed.
"Hey Alisha, you can trust me. I hope you know that. Nothing is gonna change the way I look at you. But if you don't wanna tell me, I won't push you to" she smiled.
"Well, I just don't do well with people" I said. 
"What do you mean?" She questioned.
"I mean, I don't really have friends Kat. No one likes me. I've tried making friends but I've pushed them away somehow. And then they just give up being my friend. Everyone's the same. And I have social anxiety, so like today for example, when a lot of people I don't really know talk to me and ask me question I panic and can't handle it" I said really quick.
Kat didn't say anything, but instead hugged me. I was now crying and didn't even realize it.
We stayed hugging for a bit.
"Alisha, I hope you know, I won't leave you. And everything is gonna be ok. I want you to feel comfortable with me. Ok?" She said comforting me.
"Ok" I smiled.

We spent the rest of the night getting to know each other. We eventually fell asleep around 4:00 a.m.

"Good morning sunshine" Kat said as soon as I woke up. I just groaned in response.
"What time is it" I said.
"11:3o" she said.
"What day is it?" I asked.
"Saturday" she said laughing.
"Ok I don't have work or class. Why are you laughing" I said throwing a pillow at her.
"Because your asking the most random questions" she smiled.
"Sorry" I said.
"Gee and I thought I was the Canadian. Anyway we were invited to brunch with the boys. We don't have to go if your not feeling up for it" she said.
"Well I feel like I'll be spending more time with them so I should get used to them. I'll be ok as long as you and Colby are there" I said.
"Colby? Why does it mater if Colby's there?" She said while making that face people make when you talk about your crush.
"Because he's the only other one I feel comfortable with..." I said looking down. 
"Aww that's cute" she smiled.

And with that, we started getting ready. Kat was being nice and let me borrow some of her clothes. Unfortunately, they were colourful. Not that it bothers me, it's just not my first choice. After about 45 minutes, we were ready to go. So, we made our way towards the restaurant. We decided to keep it simple and just go to IHOP.

When we got there, we greeted everyone. Luckily, it was just Colby and Sam.
"Hey" Colby smiled.
"Jake, Corey and Aaron were either sleeping or weren't home. So we just left without them" Sam explained.
"Oh ok" I smiled and took the seat next to Colby.
I heard my phone ding and saw I had a text from Colby.
C= Colby Y=You
C:  Hey
Y: hey, we're sitting right next to each other. Why'd you text me?
C: because I want to know if you told Kat?
Y: Well, yes I did :)
C: and I see your wearing colour?
Y: they're Kat's clothes. She had nothing else. And it's not like I don't wear colour.
C: haha ok. You still look good ;)

I saw Colby smile and felt him brush my hand. I felt my cheeks get red hot.
"Alisha you ok?" Kat asked.
"I-I'm fine" I said smiling and looking down. I heard Colby laugh and I got even more red.

Gosh this boy is gonna be the death of me

We ordered our food and waited for it to get here.
"Hey Kat?" Colby asked.
"Yes?" She asked.
"Do you mind if I steal Alisha for the rest of the day?" He asked grabbing my hand under the table causing me to turn bright red. 
"Go ahead. But don't break her" she said laughing.
"I won't. Promise" he said squeezing my hand then letting go. 
Then our food finally got here.

After we finished eating, we all got up and walked outside.
"Well now we must part ways" Kat said fake crying.
"Aww don't worry I'll see you soon" I said hugging her.
"Yeah, now I get to kidnap Alisha" Colby said smiling.
"Oh no I'm scared. Kat help me" I said laughing.
"Nope Kat's mine now" Sam said grabbing her hand.
"Alisha just remember, if you ruin that shirt, I'll make sure you regret it" she said laughing.
"I'll try not to" I said reaching for her hand.
"Ok we're going now" Sam said dragging Kat away.
"I love you" Kat said screaming to me.
"I love you too" I said screaming as Colby dragged me away.
"You two have made progress" Colby said smiling.
"Yeah, I guess we have" I said smiling to myself.
"Well, today's gonna be a fun day" He said smiling.
"What do you have planned?" I asked.
"It's a surprise" he smiled.

Gosh he has a beautiful smile.
No what am I saying. I barely know him. What if he's playing me? No. Don't think like that.
