I'll Help You | Colby Brock

Chapter 7

We pulled into the Target parking lot and I mentally face palmed. Out of everywhere we could have gone, we're at Target. But knowing Colby, he'll find someway to make it fun. And I do need to get a few things here.

"Alright let's go" Colby said getting out of the car.
"I still don't understand why we came here" I said as we were walking into the store.
"You said you needed a few things from here" He said shrugging. I just sighed I response.

"Alright so what do you need?" Colby said stopping and turning to me.
"For you to get a cart and push me around in it" I said smiling.
"Alright other than that" he said as we started walking to the carts and then helping me in.
"Well let's see, I need food for my dorm, a toothbrush since my roommate accidentally used mine and whatever else I see that I want" I said finally in the cart.
"Alright then" he said as he started pushing the cart.

We were messing around and getting whatever we wanted. That's when I saw something that looked familiar. That's when I realized.
"Look Colby that's my twin!! I knew I recognized it from somewhere! It's me!" I said pointing at a trash can.
"Oh my goodness Alisha" Colby laughed.

I said the exact same thing every time I saw a trash can switching it up between me and Colby. At this point, I had gotten out of the cart because it hurt my butt.

That's when a three 15 or 16 year old girls approached us. I started panicking a bit not knowing what was going on.

"Oh my gosh Colby I'm such a big fan!!" One of them squealed.
"Could we get a picture?" The second one said.
"Ya sure of course!"  He said enthusiastically and looking at me.
"Do you mind taking the picture?" The first girl asked with a judgmental look on her face.
I didn't want to say no so I just nodded my head and gave her weak smile. I wasn't sure what to say.

They got in position and I took a few pictures.
"Done" I said my voice cracking a bit and handing back the girls phone. 
"Thanks" Colby said looking at me. "So what are you guys' names?"
"Oh I'm Maya" said the tall one with black hair.
"I'm Victoria" the one with long red hair said.
"And I'm Ally" The last one said. She had darker skin and long dark curly hair.
"Well it was nice meeting you guys!" Colby said hugging them.
"It was like a dream come true meeting you!" Said the one named Victoria.
"Who's that?" Asked Ally, looking over at me and then back at Colby.
"Oh that's my friend Alisha. Alisha come over here" Colby said gesturing for me to come stand beside him. So I did.
"Just your friend?" Victoria asked giving him an interesting look.
"Just my friend" Colby said with a nod.

They talked for a few more minutes, me still not saying anything. When they left, Colby and I paid for everything then walked back to the car.
"I guess I forgot you were kinda sorta famous" I said looking at him.
"I probably should have warned you that could've happened" He said with an apologetic look.
"Probably" I said laughing, "but it was bound to happen one day"
"It really was" he said also laughing, "but I should warn you Alisha, if the rest of the fandom finds out, they're going to think we're dating and you'll get hate if they find your Instagram"
"Well thanks for the warning but there's nothing we can do about now. You should've said I'm your cousin" I said still laughing.
"I should've!"

We ended up getting food and then he took me back to my dorm.
"Well I'll see you soon" I said getting out of the car.
"I'll text you" he said smiling.
"Sounds good" I said closing the door.

I walked back up to my dorm and when I got near the door, I heard screaming. I immediately opened the door and saw Gracie and Tara yelling at each other.
"WHY DO YOU KEEP BLAMING ME FOR EVERYTHING?!?!?" Tara shouted.
"BECAUSE EVERYTHING WAS FINE UNTIL YOU GOT HERE!!!"
"WELL I'M SORRY YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ME BUT YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT!"
"OR I COULD JUST GET YOU KICKED OUT!"
"WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM WITH ME?!?!?"
"YOUR JUST FAKE ASS BITCH"
"OH YEAH? AND HOW IS THAT"
"YOU JUST ARE" Gracie screamed before storming past me and out the door.

"A-Alisha I'm s-s-sorry you had to h-hear that" Tara said with tears beginning to stream down her face.
"Oh my goodness Tara" I said rushing over to her and pulling her in for a hug.
"She'll be back soon I know it, and she'll just start yelling at me" Tara said crying even harder, "I haven't even done anything wrong!"
"I know I know" I said comforting her, "I have an idea. Do you have any classes tomorrow?"
"T-tomorrow night" she said sniffling.
"What time?" I said pulling out my phone.
"I have a lecture at six" she said drying her eyes.
"Well then I have an idea. Go pack an overnight back" I said smiling at her.
"Ok"

I immediately called Kat
"Hello?" She answered.
"Kat thank goodness! What are you doing tonight?" I asked.
"Well I'm having a sleepover with Devyn. You wanna join?"
"Well I'm glad you asked because that would be great, and can I bring a friend with me?" I asked impatiently.
"Ya sure of course! I'll pick you guys up on my way to the house. You guys are at the University right?"
"Yeah we are! I'll text you our room number just come up when you get here" I said walking into my room and grabbing a bag.
"Alright will do. See you soon" she said hanging up.

I packed my bag and walked into the kitchen where I saw Tara sitting.
"Are you gonna tell me where we're going?" She asked looking up from her phone.
"Nope" I said smiling. And not even a second later. I heard a knock on the door.
"It better not be Gracie" Tara said in an upset voice.
"It's not trust me" I said opening the door and letting Kat in.
"Tara meet Katrina. Katrina meet Tara" I said smiling.
"Hi nice to meet you" Kat said waving at her.
"You too!"

We grabbed our bags and went down to Kat's car.
"So Alisha what's with the sudden change of heart?" Kat asked as we started driving.
"Well Tara and my other roommate Gracie don't really get along and they had a pretty big fight from what I saw and Tara was really upset so I figured she could use some fun" I said looking at Tara.
"Alisha that fight started 20 minutes before you got there" Tara said looking down.
"Gracie must really suck huh?" Katrina said not taking her eyes off the road.
"Yep. Next year I'm praying I can afford an apartment" I said.

We talked for the rest of the ride changing the subject constantly until we finally arrived at the house. As we walked in, we heard everyone in the kitchen.
"Hey guys" Katrina said walking in me right behind her. We told Tara to wait behind us until we told her to come in.
"Alisha I knew I was gonna see you soon, just not this soon. I knew you just couldn't live without me" Colby said with a smug look on his face.
"Ha Ha Ha very funny. No actually I brought I friend with me and we're just gonna hangout here with Devyn" I said smiling.
"Friend? Last time someone brought a friend Colby got her so now I get the new one" Jake said straightening up a bit.
"It's not my fault I'm better than you" Colby said turning towards Jake. Jake just slapped him in return.
"Ow Jake!" Colby said smacking him back.
"Colby Jesus Christ!" Jake said closing his eyes.
"Yikes that one oughta hurt more brother 'cause of his rings" Corey said looking over at them.
"Alright guys stop being violent and meet Tara" I said gesturing towards her to come in.
"Hi" she said kinda loud and waving.
"Alright guys this time I get her" Jake said looking at everyone.
"Fine by me" Tara said winking.
"Tara thats Jake he's kind of a douchebag" I said smirking, "that's Sam Katrina's boyfriend, that's Corey Devyn's boyfriend, that's Colby no one's boyfriend" I said pointing at everyone who's in the room.
"You know Tayla I'm single and I'm happy!" Colby said.
"Yeah and Tayla, I'm not a douchebag!" Jake said looking at me.
"Yes you are!" Everyone said in unison.
"Also it's not my fault no wants to date me" Colby said fake crying .
"It's ok brother I'll date you" Jake said patting his back.
"Thanks brother" Colby said cheering up.
"Alright well this was pleasant but we're gonna go hangout with Devyn now" Katrina said waking towards the stairs, us following.
