Jacks POV
I got in my car to drive to school. I wasn't happy but I wasn't sad. I had finally understood that Tatum was gone. It was sad but things have been much better ever since that day.

When I got to school I went to my locker. It had been a two weeks since I had last been in school. When I got to my locker I opened it up to find lots of snacks and notebooks filled with new notes. All in the handwriting of Patty, Trev, Cole, Alex and Matt. I smiled, the second real smile I had had since that day. I then knew that these boys would always be there for me. These boys were my family.

"Hey hey hey look who's arrived back at school!" Trevor shouted as he ran down the hall towards me.

I smiled. "Is that a smile I see?" Cole asked excitedly.

"Oh my gosh it totally is!" Tatum yelled excitedly jumping up and down. "I'm going to text Kaileigh right now!"

"Would you keep it down someone might hear!" Cole said. "And don't text her... please."

"Awwww Coley has a crush!" I said shaking Coles shoulders.

"Stop!" He said while smiling and blushing.

"Let me text her! Please please please pleaaassseeee!" Tati yelled

"No we have to see if he's man enough to ask her on a date." John said

"OMG yessss we have to!" Bella, Johns girlfriend said.

"Ugh but as soon as you send the text I get to FaceTime Kai." Tatum said clearly annoyed.

"Common Tati let us have a little fun!" I said while coming up to hug he from behind. She put her hands on my arms.

"Ok." She said defeated. "But only for you." She said while winking and walking away.

I smiled at the memory. Cole did have a huge crush on Tati's friend Kaileigh but he never had the balls to ask her out, then she got a boyfriend sooo. "Yeah." I said to answer Coles question.

"Hey we missed you over here. Calc has been horrible. I only have this nerd to hang out with." Alex said while gesturing to Patty.

"Ok but you never understand anything so." Patty replied.

"Hey I understand it... sometimes." Alex said.

"Sucks doesn't it?" Trevor asked. I did really miss these crazy boys. They brought back memories of Tati but not the bad ones, only the good ones.

"Hey Jack are you ready for your first game tonight?" Patty asked.

"Yeah I'm excited to hit the ice again and play." I said.

"Are you ready for it. You had a week off of practice." Cole asked

"Always. I felt good at practice for the last few days." I replied to Cole.

"Good cuz we need the w tonight boys!" Trevor yelled attracting the attention of many others in the hallway.

The bell rang for us to go to home room. "Common Patty lets go." I said. We asked to home room in a comfortable silence.

"I'm really glad your back Jack." Patty said putting his arm around my shoulders.

"Me too." I said "me too." And I meant it.
