"Come on!" Erin hissed under her breath with irritation, glaring at Shouto across the table. They were playing air hockey, and she was currently getting clapped.

"So much for a light manipulation quirk, huh?" He teased, as Erin got the puck out from the hole. She looked up at him with an annoyed glance.

"If I used my quirk it would be cheating. I'm competitive, not a cheater." She grinned, moving the hair out of her face, hitting the puck.

Todoroki immediately deflected it, sending it back over to Erin. They continued hitting it back and forth, both too zoned out into the game to make conversation.

"FUCK-" Erin shouted slightly loud, covering her mouth right afterwards. Her thick german accent radiated off of her tongue, throwing Shouto into shock.

"I forgot you're from germany. Why don't you ever have an accent?" He questioned, tilting his head as he placed the puck back in it's slot. He had won, out of ten rounds, he won six; while she won four.

"My parents-Mom especially make me act more Japanese than I really am. They think German accents are too deep and 'manly' for a woman to have." She groaned, rubbing her eyes, accent seemingly disappeared as if it were never there.

Shouto nitted his eyebrows together, his finger bent as he nibbled on his knuckle gently. He had a habit of doing that when he was tired or thinking. Looking up at Erin through his multi-coloured hair, he smiled softly. "I think your accent is nice. It makes you different than around here. Not to mention, your not as petite as everyone." His eyes widened in panic, as he practically slapped his head.

"I mean-I'm not calling you fat or anything it's just-You have a much different build than most girls here. I mean, you have wider hips, and your shoulders are wider too. I don't know, it's just different than usual-It kind of implies that you're not native anyways. I guess nobody would really care though, or notice for that matter. God, I need to stop rambling-" He cussed at himself under his breath, as Erin just grinned at him.

"Yes, I'm aware I'm more of a man than most."
She joked. What he was saying was true, she was must bigger and taller than most girls around here. Her build itself was bigger, her hips wide, causing her to have a smaller waist. Her shoulders were broad, noticeably holding muscle. She had a sharper jawline, while most of the Japanese girls had rounder faces. She was practically the complete opposite of the Japanese build, much to her mother's sadness.

Shouto grinned at her joke, feeling more comfortable around her than he was before. Between sparring and playing arcade games with her, he genuinely believed he was forming a friendship.

This made him extremely happy, seeing as he'd never really thought himself having a friend. The words of his Sensei in his mind bounced, an idea written on his face. "You wanna get some ice cream?" He asked softly, as Erin agreed.

"I fucking LOVE mint chocolate chip. Like, I could eat a whole gallon and not care. Don't even try me, I swear to goD-" She rambled about her ice cream, her ice white hair blowing gently in the wind as they exited the arcade.

"I like peppermint ice cream. Any type of mint, honestly. If they don't have mint, I'm sueing." He said with a straight face, which made Erin wonder if he was actually joking or not.
"I'm not joking." He chuckled, his hands now outside of his pockets. He wasn't totally awkward around her anymore. He felt relaxed.

"No need, a few words with your name and it'd be enough to end their whole career." She grinned, a small snort escaping her laugh.
Her laughs were cut off by herself gasping, as she sprinted into the small ice cream parlor.

Shouto's lips curled into a softened smile, as he scoffed running after her. Before he could think, her hands latched onto his forearm. She jumped up and down with excitement, eyes sparkling as she looked at all of the rainbow coloured flavors in the case in front of them.

"Hello! Welcome to McCreamy's Freezery! How could I help you today?" The person behind the counter asked, a smile on her face. Her hair was pulled up, hidden behind a hat that said 'McCreamy's Freezery' on it.

"Two mint cones, please. She'll have the mint chocolate chip, though." Shouto smiled back towards to worker, as he looked down at Erin; who still held onto his arm with excitement.

"Sure thing! What brings a lovely couple like you here today?" The worker asked, obviously in attempts to start conversation.

"Oh, we're not together or anything. Our parents are working together, so we kinda decided to get to know each other better." Erin said sheepishly, her white hair still pulled up.

"I see. Well, either way, you two seem like a good duo. You seem to have a lot in common." She smiled from behind the counter, reaching over to hand the kids their ice cream.
"Enjoy! Come back sometime soon!" She grinned, as the teens took their dessert.

The teenagers left the ice cream parlor, eating their ice cream as they walked. Neither of them knew exactly where they were headed, nor did they particularly care.

"Are you scared to go to UA tomorrow?" Erin asked randomly, looking up at Shouto, who's eyebrows flexed together in thought.

He looked down at Erin, shaking his head. "I'm not scared, per say. However, I'm not that excited. I'll probably just hide in the corner and be antisocial."

Erin laughed gently, shaking her head at him. "I suppose that we'll both be doing the same. I want to make friends, but I'll feel it out a bit first. I'll hang out with you, we can be losers together."

Todoroki smiled, nodding his head gently with happiness. "That sounds lovely."

It had started to get darker out, causing Erin to then panic. "Shit." She cussed gently, quickly pulling her hair back down to cover her face.
"I gotta get home. My parents are going to murder me-fuck." She breathed out, eyes flashing a sad apology.

"I-At least let me walk you home?" Shouto asked quietly, saddened. Erin shook her head, anxiety boiling over her.

"I'm sorry-My parents are usually loud this time at night. I haven't helped at all by staying out late. I'm sorry, Todoroki. I've had so much fun today. I'll see you at school tomorrow." She smiled gently, before turning back around to head back to her house.

Shouto stood there as she walked away fast, his shoulders dropped slightly, his face back to its neutral expression. After watching her disappear in the distance, he turned around with a heavy sigh.
