CHAPTER 1

ANGEL'S POINT OF VIEW

No Boyfriend Since Birth

"Honey, are you ready in your new school?" tanong ni mommy

"Naaah, ayoko dun eh" sagot ko, nandito kami sa dining area kumakain ng lunch. It's sunday by the way kaya hindi busy si Mommy, si Daddy naman umalis na dahil may trabaho pa siya emergency sa work. 

"Honey, pinag usapan na natin to diba? Wag na matigas ang ulo" sabi niya. oo ayoko sa bagong school ko pero no choice eh. 

"Alam ko mom, pero diba sabi ko ayoko dun? pero payag ako na mag transfer dun" paliwanag ko naman

"I know honey, makakahanap ka rin ng kaibigan mo dun. Trust Me" sabi niya with assuring look 

"Ayokong palitan mga kaibigan ko Mom, for 4 years hindi nila ako trinaydor o ginamit hindi gaya ng elementary friends ko na ginamit lang nila ako dahil mayaman ako" Oo mayaman kami 'business matters'. Daddy ko isang CEO ng company namin at si Mommy naman designer ng company namin. Simula ng 1st year high school ko hindi ko pinagsabi na mayaman kami dahil sa nangyari saakin nung elemntary

"Honey, Can you forget the past? We're here na, so you should move on you can't put that mindset forever in your life" sabi pa ni Mommy

"Mom, di ganun kadali yun. Sa dinami-dami kong binigay sa kanila thenthey bullied me after the graduation day" angal ko 

"Listen Honey, you should forgive and forget them." sabi niya at pumunta sa tabi ko "Your Daddy and I didn't teach you na magtanim ng galit sa kapwa"  dagdag niya at hinimas ang ulo ko

"Mom, alam ko. I already forgive them but i can't leave Ynna and Joanne like that" 

"Honey, you can visit them anytime you want. Do you have your car" 

"But Mom, ang layo ng Makati sa Legazpi"

"You can bring your driver"

"Psh. Sige na Mom punta na ako sa kwarto" at tumayo at iniwan si Mommy

"Don't over think so much Honey please. I can't stand if I know that you're not happy" pahabol pa ni Mommy

'Ofc. Mom' sabi ko sa isip ko. Mahal na mahal ko talaga parents ko, ang swerte ko sa kanila. Hulog ng langit sila saakin. 

Andito ako sa kwarto ko at nag search ako about sa LPUM at ito ang nakita ko sa History ng school nila. 

'The College of Law was one of the first two colleges of the Lyceum of the Philippines when it opened in Intramuros in 1952. The founder, Jose P. Laurel envisioned an "academy for the ascertainment of truth: the ultimate object of intellectual exertion...for the search and promulgation of truth as an imperative and moral obligation". This ideal seems to apply specifically to this college.

The initial enrollment was 628 students, a sizeable batch for a new school, even today. Very likely, the faculty of eminent legal luminaries was the attraction.

Senator Claro M. Recto was appointed Dean, and Senator Ambrosio Padilla, Vice-Dean. The teaching staff was the Who's Who in Philippine Law at the time. Senator Pedro M. Sabido was head of Remedial and Mercantile Law; Vice-Dean Padilla, Civil and Criminal Law; and Dr. Jose P. Laurel, head of Political and International Law. Even minor subjects were taught by major figures: Senator Neptali Gonzales, Dean Marcos Herras and retired Supreme Court Justice Isagani Cruz. After Don Claro M. Recto, among the college's next deans were Chief Justice Felix Makasiar, Supreme Court Associate Justice Cecilia Munoz Palma (also the presiding officer of the 1986 Constitutional Commission), Supreme Court Associate Justice Isagani Cruz and Justice Undersecretary Emilio de la Paz.'

At  may 6 na silang branch sa dito sa Pilipinas, sa Manila, Makati, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, at sa Davao. Sa Manila first itinayo ang LPU pero dito ako inenroll ni Mommy dahil nandito sa Makati ang business nila sa Ayala Avenue at 3 blocks away lang ito sa school namin. At sa pagkaka alam ko may connection ang parents ko sa school kaya hindi na ako nag take ng admission, pasok na agad.

Dumating na ang gabi, tapos na kami kumain at eto patulog na ang mga tao sa bahay pero ako eto parang excited na hindi papasok bukas. Kasi ayaw ko talagang may kaibigan na ginamit lang ako dahil mayaman ako. Tsk! hmmm, introduce yourself na naman eto. Start na ng second grading bukas, sino kaya maging kaibigan ko? sa first and second year ko sa high school hindi ko sinabi kina Ynna at Joanne na mayaman ako nung nalaman ko na maganda ang intention nila saakin dun ko na sinabi ang katotohanan. Hindi man sila mayaman pero maykaya naman. Ngayon? ano kaya ang mga students sa LPU, sana hindi mga spoiled brat. Nang mapansin ko na 10 pm na pala ay natulog na ako
