Finley glanced at the two girls as she stood next to Scott. Allison and Lydia both had their arms stuck out, a bruise on either of their wrists. Derek stood there with his arms crossed over each other as he looked at their arms with a bored expression. "I don't see anything," He said shrugging as he turned to look at Scott.
Finley heard Allison sigh softly as she looked at Derek. "Look again," Scott told him as he turned his head, his eyes showing how desperate he was.
"How is a bruise gonna tell me where Boyd and Erica are? " Derek asked Scott as he looked at Allison. "It's the same on both sides. Exactly the same" Scott Argued but Derek responded quickly, telling him it was nothing.
"Pareidolia." Lydia started, earning a confused gaze from Finley before she continued. "Seeing patterns that aren't there" Lydia explained. Scott shrugged a bit, obviously not getting it. "It's a subset of apophenia"
"Of what now?" Finley asked, still confused and right as Lydia was about to answer Scott talked to Derek. "They're trying to help," He told him but Derek didn't seem to care a single bit.
"These two?" Derek asked, sounding like he was about to break out in sarcastic laughter, which he [sadly] didn't. "This one, who used me to resurrect my psychotic uncle. Thank you," He said while pointing at Lydia, which she rolled her eyes at before he moved on to Allison. "And this one, who shout about thirty arrows into me and my pack." He finished.
Finley just stood there as she boredly looked at Derek. "You probably provoked the arrow thing," She told him and not a second later Scott had elbowed her and Derek was growling at her.
"Okay alright now, come on " Stiles quickly interrupted. "No one died, alright. Look, there may have been a little maiming, okay, a little mangling, but no death. That's what I call an important distinction." He said trying to lighten the mood in the room a bit but the attempt got shut down by Allison.
"My mother died" Allison whispered as she looked at Derek.
"Your family's little honor code killed your mother. Not me." He told her. his voice was serious the whole conversation, just like everyone else had been but Stiles'.
"That girl was looking for Scott. I'm here to help him, not you." She said shaking her head. "You wanna help? Find something real" Derek told her before walking off, Scott almost immediately following trying to get Derek to give them one more chance. Not a minute later Derek was gone just as Finley ran her hand through her hair, in frustration but mostly in confusion at what had just happened a second ago.
And that was just the beginning of the day.

they are now in Coaches class. That man could be hell sometimes but this lesson Finley felt like it actually would kinda not be that bad this time. And before anybody could actually register it a book was slammed onto a desk. Everybody who was talking went quiet and looked at the front of the classroom where Coach was standing.
"The stock market is based on two principles. What are they?" Coach asked the classroom, a few kids looked around in confusion. Finley also had confusion written all over her face as she sat behind her brother, who confidently stook his hand in the air, looking at Stiles who shrugged a bit.
"Yes, McCall you can go to the bathroom" Coach told him, seeming to know the question his student most of the time asked as he stuck his hand up or just not believing the brunette boy knew the answer to his question. Scott took his hand out of the air, looking baffled by his teachers' response. Finley laughed softly as coach immediately asked if anybody else knew the answer.
