Prologue: Before To After

"This is a rather intriguing case of the past, but... there's some missing pieces regarding Patron - the symbol of the right leg", agent #1 said.

"What is it?", agent #2 glancing along to the paper records.

"It says here that at one point... Patron who went missing after the battle of the Ends, reappeared somewhere in the coast of Ireland with nobody spotting him taking a flight to there", agent #1 explained.

"After being spotted by a few witnesses, he disappeared once again at the same coast and was never seen again", agent #1 continued on.

"What does this mean?", agent #1 asked.

"I don't know, but wasn't he M.I.A for about five to ten years just to reappear again at the Asian summit of 2199?", agent #2 asked.

Agent #1 shrugs his shoulders as his way to react with confusion.

"Look, the thing about the missing pieces that leads to the summit was that, he showed up with a different identity and with no background records before he revealed himself"...

"He waited for the right moment for his records to disappear, all to resurface from within", agent #2 explained.

"Leading to his rise of power! I get it now!", agent #1 catched on.

"Also, all we had about him back then was that... he was a nobody and nothing else"...

"Must've been a deliberate act of confidentiality", agent #2 explained.

"Hmm...", agent #1 puzzled.

"Hold on... why are we even looking through his stuff? Are we even authorized to investigate about him?", agent #2 realized.

"Oh! Uh, sorry about that... uhm Frank from the Human resources told us that the higher ups wanted a few guyz here to investigate all the profiles of the Ends... to see if they might be planning something bad again in the future...", agent #1 explained.

"Ah, I see... but isn't this quite late? I mean, the battle of the Ends took place a few decades ago. The possibilities that half of the Ends dead is high. So... why now?", agent #2 curiously asked.

"Well... I heard that the Lady who tells prophecies got another premonition... probably fake news but whatever", agent #1 said.

"Hmm... also, why Patron? Isn't he one of the hardest Ends to investigate? Why not Zed? Or Heales?", agent #2 asked.

"To be honest? We only have records on Patron and Earth King. Even if I wanted to investigate the easiest targets first? I couldn't", agent #1 implied.

"Ah! Was it because of DataGem or...?", agent #2 asked.

"Huh?... OH! No-no, I don't think it's that simple. DataGem only hides information about Patron, and no one else, so... it's complicated", agent #1 answered.

"I see... and yet here we are, reading Patron's profile as if DataGem gave it no reason to hide [Laughs]", agent #2 laughs it off nonchalantly.

After hearing those words, agent #1 looked at agent #2 as if he saw a ghost.

He realized that a very suspicious record was laying down in front of them, being read freely without any consideration.

Agent #1 started to feel scared as he realized that someone might be trying to set them up.

"I didn't think of that! Why! It was so obvious and yet... I couldn't even--", agent #1 contemplating.

"What's wrong?... what's the matter?", agent #2 still clueless of the matter.

"We... we gotta inform the higher ups about this [Whispers], w-we gotta...", agent #1 stammered.

"Hey... What's the matter? Come on man! Don't leave me hanging here!", agent #2 trying to get ahold of agent #1.

"We gotta go [continues to whisper]", agent #1 continued anxiously.

"What?! HEY!", agent #2 shouted.

Agent #1 was taken by surprise as agent #2 continued to shout.

"TELL ME WHAT'S GOING ON!", agent #2 shouted as he tried to get agent #1's attention.

"WE GOTTA GO AND INFORM THE HIGHER UPS!", agent #1 shouted back with a panicking tone.

"NO!... explain what's going on first!", agent #2 demanded.

[Grunts] "Look I... [Sighs] I just realized from what you just said that"...

"What if you're right? I mean, DataGem is a person who's hidden within the system and can access to pretty much everything she wants without informing the authorities! So what if DataGem rewrote Patron's profile intentionally? "...

"So then, that gets us to the question of - Why? Why would she leave and implant JUST Patron's profile?"...

"How come the sources of the other Ends is missing if she only cared to hide Patron's info a few decades back? What's the difference this time?"...

"ALSO! Where are the other profiles of the Ends if DataGem didn't care to hide the others? And why do we have Earth King's profile?"...

"Are you getting all of this?", agent #1 explaining his realization.

He finally understood agent #1's realization and was completely dumbfounded.

He couldn't speak for a good amount of time, but agent #1 continued anyways.

"Sooooo?! WE GOTTA GO! We gotta let the higher-ups know the problem and issue an order to find Lady Prophecy, NOW!", agent #1 shouted with a panicking tone.

Agent #2 followed agent #1. They sprinted towards the human resources and informed him of the matter.
