Kim Soo Kyung is a beautiful girl. Every boy in their school always confess to her but she always reject them too, not because she hates boys but she has in her mind. It was her classmate at the same time her only best friend. Hong Joo Chan.
"Soo Kyung-ah~" Joo Chan whined "waeyo? You've been whining for hours!" Soo Kyung whisper-yell "I'm bored. How many hours do we need to stay here?" He asked "Joo Chan-ah, just wait okay, we still have thirty minutes, so be quiet and don't annoy me. Just wait for the bell to ring" She said. Joo Chan pouted and put his head on the table.
~ 30 Minutes Later ~
Soo Kyung and Joo Chan went to cafeteria together to eat but Joo Chan still didn't say any word. "Joo Chan-ah, are you mad?" Soo Kyung asked but he just shook his head "not mad huh?" Soo Kyung thought. She took his sausage and put it on her plate. "Yah! That's mine! Why did you took it?" He asked and that's make her smirked. "Why can't I? You always give me your sausage. Are you sure you're not really mad huh?" She said and chuckled. "I told you I'm not mad!" He shouted "well okay you're not really mad" She said sarcastically and Joo Chan rolled his eyes.
Soo Kyung just continue eating her lunch while smiling at herself. "Why are you smiling? It's creepy" Joo Chan comment and Soo Kyung pouted. "You're not cute either" He added. That's when she knows that he's really mad at her and only one thing can make him not mad anymore. "Oppa~ don't be mad please~" she said cutely and this time Joo Chan smile "aigoo, why is my best friend so cute?" He asked while pinching her cheeks. "You said earlier that I'm not cute and now you said I'm cute? Wow Hong Joo Chan" she said and hit his shoulder hard. "Ouch! Soo Kyung-ah I'm sorry okay I'm just mad at you earlier" Joo Chan said "why are you mad at me? I didn't do anything" Soo Kyung said "I'm mad at you because you didn't talk to me the whole class" he said "I didn't talk to you because I am listening to the teacher and you should do the same too besides exam is around the corner so we need to listen and study" Soo Kyung said and patted Joo Chan's head "let's go" she said and they went to their classroom.
~ After Class ~
Joo Chan and Soo Kyung went to convenient store first before going home. They bought ramen and bottle of water. "Here you go" Joo Chan said and put the ramen and water in front of Soo Kyung "thank you" she said. While they were eating Joo Chan suddenly asked Soo Kyung. "Where will you spend summer vacation?" He asked "in Hawaii. Why?" She asked "nothing" he said and clean the table.
They were walking in the streets while holding hands. "I'll see you tomorrow" Joo Chan said and Soo Kyung nodded. "Bye" he said and kissed her cheeks. Soo Kyung was about to enter their house but she startled when she saw her brother looking at her. "W-why are you still here?" She asked "are you sure Joo Chan is not your boyfriend? I saw you two holding hands while walking and I saw he kissed your cheeks" her brother said "oppa, how many times do I have to tell you that were just best friends" she said "eo, best friends who are acting like couples. I get it" her brother said and went inside "yah! Oppa!" She shouted and chase her brother.
~ Summer Vacation ~
"Good bye Soo Kyung. See you next school year" Joo Chan said and hugged her "see you" Soo Kyung said and hugged him back "always call me okay" he said "eo, bye~" She said and patted his head "bye~" he said and kissed her in the cheeks "ehem, guys you sure you aren't..." Before her brother can finish his sentence they cut him off. "No!" They both shouted "okay, okay, chill guys" her brother said "bye~" they said for the last time.
~ At Hawaii ~
Soo Kyung was enjoying her vacation at Hawaii but her brother always teased her about Joo Chan. "Soo Kyung, do you like Joo Chan?" Her brother asked "h-huh? Why you suddenly asked oppa?" She asked and looked away "so you really like him" her brother said and smirked "oppa..." "Why don't you confess to him?" He asked and Soo Kyung looked at him. "O-oppa, I-I can't" she said "why? I know he likes you back" he stated "I don't know oppa, what if he doesn't like me back? It will just ruined our friendship" she said "I'm 100% sure that he likes you. I can see it, the way he looked at you, the way he kissed your cheeks, the way he hold your hand, the way he care for you. I can see it all. It was different, and I can tell that he really likes you. He's just a coward like you" he said and Soo Kyung sigh "I will think about it oppa. I will go now to our room" she said and went back to their hotel room.
After an hour of thinking, Soo Kyung already decided to go back to Korea and confess to her best friend. She packed her things and took the ticket on her small table. Once she's already inside of the airport, she immediately call Joo Chan. "Soo Kyung-ah! I miss you! By the way why did you call?" Soo Kyung chuckled at the sudden attitude of her best friend. "I will back in Korea, can you fetch me tomorrow?" She asked "sure! See you tomorrow" he said "thank you by the way I have something to tell you tomorrow. Bye" she said and hang up
~ At Korea ~
Once Soo Kyung arrived inside the airport, she immediately saw her best friend waving at her. She ran towards him and hugged him tightly. "I miss you Soo Kyung" Joo Chan said and hugged her back "miss you too" she answered "where's your parents? Your brother?" He asked "I am the only one who came back. They are still in Hawaii" she said "okay, let's go now" he said and helped her on her things.
They arrived at Soo Kyung's house and she unpacked her things. "Soo Kyung, do you need help?" Joo Chan asked "no it's okay" she said but he walked towrds her and helped her instead "I said it's okay" she said "but I want to help" he said and continue to helped her.
After unpacking her things, they went to a convenient store where they always go after school. They bought a big container of ice cream and eat it on their usual spot. "By the way, what do you want to tell me?" He asked "oh that? Uhm....promise me it will not effect our friendship because of this" she said and put out her pinky finger. "Promise" he said and connected his pinky finger with hers.
"I like you ever since we were kids" she confessed. Joo Chan only looked at her with wide eyes and mouth open. "Yah, you promised" she whined "I-I'm just s-surprised. I didn't expect that you like me" he answered. Both of them looked away and sighed. "So you really like me?" He asked "yes" she said "I like you too, Soo Kyung" Joo Chan said. Soo Kyung looked at him. Soo Kyung stayed silent and Joo Chan hugged her. "Would you be my girlfriend?" He asked "yes" she said and hugged him back.
