Dean sighed, nudging his mom back. He knew she was just kidding. Hell he could talk to anyone about her, but opening up was a completely different story. Though as he watched his mother and Cas talk and cut up he thought Cas might just change that.
"Come on sweetie, you gotta meet the rest of the family before, Bobby here pulls you into one of his horrific bedtime stories." She looped her arm with Cas' and lead him towards a few people gathered around one of the tables.
Dean trailed behind them not wanting to leave Cas with people he didn't know. Although he didn't look as uncomfortable as he did when they first arrived.
"Ellen, Jo." Mary called out getting the attention of two women sitting at a table.
"Hey sweetie. Who's your new arm candy?" Ellen asked standing up from the table, hugging Mary.
"This is Castiel. Say hello honey." She coaxed Cas.
"Nice to meet you ma'am." Cas stuck out his hand to shake Ellen's.
"Boy, don't call me ma'am, the name's Ellen. And in this family we hug. A handshake is for the men who hold grudges against each other but refuse to admit it." Ellen laughed pulled him in for a hug.
Cas embraced her back and felt as if she just let her into her heart so willingly. Everyone was so friendly and nice, he didn't know a family could be so inviting.
"Castiel this Jo, my daughter." Ellen smiled, turning to Jo.
"Hey there handsome. How you doing?" Jo grinned pulling him in for a hug.
"Essay Jo, he's spoken for." Mary laughed, posting Dean on the shoulder.
"Roped you a cute Dean. Better hold on to him. I may just snatch him up if I get the chance." Jo giggled, followed by taking a swig of beer.
"In your dreams." Dean chuckled. "I'm holding on to this one." He moved to stand next to Cas wrapping an arm around his waist.
Castiel couldn't help but smile at him. 'This man is going to drive me crazy if I don't watch it.' Castiel kept that thought to himself.
Ellen excused herself to check on other members of the family around the park. Jo said something about finding Ash and Dean joked that he would be at the coldest cooler surround by empty beer bottles.
Cas cocked his head to the side, looking at Dean through slightly squinted eyes. "Who's Ash?"
"Jo's brother, just another cousin." Dean laughed.
"Big family." Cas chuckled lightly.
Dean tightened his arm around Cas for a moment. He leaned down a little to whisper in Cas' ear. "You know what I'm thinking about?"
"No, what?" Cas asked becoming curious.
"This morning. You know the couch and how into it you were." Dean rasped in his ear.
Cas felt a blush creep across his cheeks, immediately remembering what they did this morning. Dean's warm breath brushing against his ear made a shiver run down his spine. "Dean, we're with your family." Cas softly shoved him, but not enough to break the small space between them.
"I'm not saying we're going to do anything, just wanted to know how much you enjoyed it?" Dean asked still so close to Cas' ear.
"You know how much I enjoyed it." Cas blushed harder, if that was possible.
Dean chuckled, moving closer to Cas' ear. "Well, why don't you tell me?"
Cas moved to look into Dean's emerald green eyes. "How about I show you tonight?"
"Really?" Dean's eyes lite up with excitement.
"Yes, really." Cas laughed, tugging Dean in for a kiss, before someone grabbed the back of Dean's collar pulling him away.
"Hey! What the hell is your-! Crowley! Man it's good to see you!" Dean pulled Crowley in for a hug.
"You look like shit, mate!" Crowley laughed pulling back from Dean.
"Like you look any better, dick." Dean chuckled patting Crowley's shoulder.
"No, Dick looks horrible. I just left him with some pretty brunette because your mom said you'd finally shown up." Crowley's chuckle was deep and full of joy.
"Man, Dick's here too? You guys gotta meet Cas." Dean turned to smile at his boyfriend.
"I assume that's you." He grinned at Cas putting out a hand to shake.
"Yes, Castiel. Nice to meet you." Cas smiled back, shaking his hand.
Crowley turned to look at Dean. "Got you a cute one this time." He laughed again.
"Shut up." Dean punched him in the shoulder.
"By the way I'm an old friend of Dean's. Use to beat the shit out of him in school." Crowley laughed again, even deeper.
Suddenly Sam's voice came blaring over the crowd. "Can I get everyone's attention?"
Everyone quieted down turning to face Sam. Some were smiling, others looked completely confused.
He turned to face Jess, who was standing beside him sporting a confused look herself.
"Jessica Moore," he began dropping on one knee, causing Jess to cover her mouth.
He looked up at her with a smile, continuing. "We've been together for as long as I can remember, and I can't think of anyone else I would want to spend the rest of my life with. We've told each other every story we can think of and still laugh even though we've heard them a hundred times over. I know every flaw you have and they only make me love you more. Jessica Moore will you make me the happiest man in the world and be my always and forever?" He pulled a little black box from his pocket and revealed a beautiful gold ring. "Will you marry?"
Jess shook her head, she'd began crying almost at the beginning of his speech. "Yes." She whispered.
Sam slipped the little golden circle on her finger. Jumping up to hug he he screamed. "She said yes!"
The crowd broke out in joyous cries and laughed followed by many 'Congratulations.' and several 'Way to go's.'
Everyone began to gather around them to see the ring and wish the couple happiness and many years of life together.
