I turn into a mummy

-Get out of here. -said my father, drawing a sword, a one-meter scimitar, which in the center of the blade had several empty spaces, as if they were rectangles that went in line from the hilt to near the tip. He didn't take his eyes off the mask, but I knew he was addressing me.

I tried to move, but it was impossible for me to even speak. I used to think that it wasn't because of the terror it instilled in me, but now it was completely different. It probably had something to do with what they had put in my neck.

The masked man placed his hand inside his gabardine and with one movement let the handle of a katana be seen, although he didn't manage to draw it.

My sister appeared next to me, avoiding getting too much attention, even the moment she spoke to me, she whispered.

-There's only you and Dad left. The others are safe. -I looked around and realized that neither my mother nor my sister were where they had lost consciousness.

Ale took me by the shoulder and stood still for a moment.

-What...? -He closed his eyes and squeezed my shoulder tightly. Nothing happened. I understood what was happening, she was trying to take me with her, but she didn't seem to be able to do it. She let me go and disappeared. The second she came back and looked at me as if she wanted me to explain what was going on. Even if I could speak, I wouldn't be of much use because I didn't know, even though I was sure it had something to do with what the masked one had put on me.

My father ran his hand over the squares. In doing so, half of them began to glow. It seemed to be electric, as the light was shone by blue rays moving inside the square. After doing this he directed the tip of the sword, with the edge towards the ground, to the enemy.

-Alessandra, why haven't they gone? -he asked.

-I can't do it! Something prevents me from carrying him with me.

-See if there's anything stuck somewhere. -He said after thinking for a few seconds. -Something like a piece of paper. If you can get it out of him, then you'll probably can.

-No matter how hard they try, I warned you not to complicate it.

The voice of the masked man surprised me. It didn't sound like an older person, like my parents, but it didn't belong to a child either.

-And let my son die? -Even when it was only a possibility, I don't want to take the risk.

Frank turned his sword a little to the right, leaving the edge to the left. I didn't understand why he did it at first, but then the place where the target was, cracked and sank, like the roof. Now I had understood what I was doing, I just didn't know how. I had never asked about the abilities he had, he was always surprised me and won without using anything more than his physical strength.

The masked man's clothes were completely stretched down, trying to reach the ground in desperation, but they were placed on a hanger that could not be pulled so easily. He took a step forward, apparently without being affected in the slightest by the increase in gravity.

My father, without retreating a single centimeter, hit forward with the sword and a quarter more of the squares were filled with electricity. Instantly, the place through which the enemy was, wasn't able to bear the load anymore and collapsed, taking the individual down with the structure around him.

-I found it!

My sister tried to remove what was on my neck gently, but after seeing that it didn't work she tried to tear it with her fingernails until it came out. It didn't work either.

-I can't! Help us!

Hearing my sister's screams, my father turned to us, but the moment he was about to say something the masked man appeared in front of him, wrapping the sword around his back.

-You've never been a rival to me, you'd need to live twice and go through everything I went through to make it happen.

Before my father could even turn his eyes to him, his sword released huge rays. After that, the edge separated from the handle and fell to the ground, where it bounced a couple of times before leaving behind a sepulchral silence.

My father shouted and turned to him, but before he could do anything he took a step up behind him. With a simple movement he gave him a punch in the back of the neck, knocking him unconscious in the act and making him fall flat, following the example of the blade of his weapon.

Alessandra was looking at the scene with a face of deep terror. She tried to grab her gun, but it was still on the other side of the apartment. Out of utter despair she took mine, and attacked. When I was a few meters away from it, he appeared right in front of her, causing her to collide with him. When he was falling to the ground, he threw my knife at him, hoping that by a miracle I could take him by surprise. Unfortunately, it did not succeed, as a movement of his hand was enough to cut the chain in two.

Before my sister could disappear he hit her leg with the case of her katana, causing her to let out a heartbreaking scream. As she twisted in pain on the floor, the masked man approached me and the last thing I saw was that he placed his hand on my forehead, and the bandages of his arms wrapped around my face, cutting out my vision. Seconds later, I lost consciousness.
