The precinct was full of hustle. Phones where ringing, and perps continually coming in and out.

Amy was sitting at her desk. Her posture was tight due to the fact she had so much paper work, including having so much on her mind. She stopped typing and stretched her fingers as they were beginning to cramp.

"Sup loser."

Gina walked towards Amy, holding her gina knows best mug.

"Hey gina.. "

Amy's tone was sad and droopy.

"Ames, come on. Your bumming out my personal area. What's up?"

"What? Gina I'm fine. I just have a lot of paper work to do..."

She then quickly glanced over at Jake, who was talking to Taylor.

"OoOOh a lovers quarrel!"

"Ew! Gina no! That's Jake we are talking about."

"oh sweetie..." she giggled "Your silly little mind felt for Gina's little trick. Not once did I mention his name. "

Amy starred at gina blankly. She fell into her little trap. Speechless.

"Hard to break it to ya Ames. But the mug is always correct... "

She sets her gina knows best mug on Amy's desk and elegantly walked away.

"Toodles!"

Jake poured two cups of coffee and handed one of the mugs to taylor. They both sat down, admiring their company.

"So tell me Taylor, anything exciting happened in your life?"

"Na.. Still waiting for that moment."

She nervously slurped on her coffee. Jake looked away,  knowing exactly what she was thinking. Boyle knocked on the break room door.

"Jake, sorry to bother you both but Sargent wants you. He wants to know who opened his yogurt"

He scrambled out of his chair. Yelling across the precinct..

"I just wanted to try it!!"

Amy saw Jake sprinting across while Terry was running after him. She realized that detective irvine was alone, she felt guilty for making a first bad impression and technically screaming in her face. She pushed herself up and felt agitated by every step she took closer to the break room.

"Hey... "

Taylor looked up, surprised to see Amy standing in front of her with a pity smile.

"Oh. Hey." She said dryly

"listen, I just wanted to say sorry for what happened earlier today. I guess I just need sleep." Amy lied "Something was just bothering me at the time."

"Oh it's no problem at all."

"Thank you for forgiving me."

Taylor nodded in response. She cut the silence by offering Amy some coffee.

"I'm making some coffee. You want some?"

"That would be great, I'm beat."

She stood up and started to make more. She turned around leaning on the counter, waiting for the liquid to filter. She also wanted to know more about the dark brown haired girl who sat in front of her, zoned out, looking out into the bullpen.

"so.. How long have you been here for?"

She then jolted to Taylor voice and weakly smiled.

"Same amount of time as Jake."

"sounds like you two are close"

"Oh. Yeah. We are just close friends." Amy replied. Kinda hurt saying those words.

Taylor discreetly nodded and turned her back to Amy, she started to pour the boiling coffee into the mug, feeling the condensation hit her face gently. She then reached her hand Into her inner pocket of her leather jacket and lifted out a small grey flask  pouring a clear liquid inside her coffee. Taylor turned around, still making short conversations so things don't seem suspicious.

"How many sugars?"

"Two please."

Taylor placed Amy's coffee in front of her. She sat down, burning her eyes on her.

Amy picked up her coffee, and sipped at it. The taste was unusual. It tasted sweet and slightly sour. Amy sniffed the liquid and could only smell extremely strong coffee, but something was off. Across the table Taylor panicked, knowing Amy knew something was off. She can't find out.

"Oh... I'm so sorry. You must think that tastes crap. I don't blame you. No one ever drinks it" she said, making her feel guilty.

Amy felt bad for judging her coffee, she is new here and Amy already made a bad impression. She didn't want to upset her, so she decided to drink it all to show her consideration. She finished it all, gasping in fake pleasure, trying to hide her feeling of disgust.

Taylor grinned and stood up making her way to the bullpen.

"Thanks Amy, glad you liked it..."
