Jake was sitting in the interrogation room with Holt. In front he had a notebook and pen, jotting down every word as jake was explaining what he witnessed in the school.

"so peralta, to sum everything up. Amy was stabbed in the right hand side of her chest, near her shoulder and was sedated with barbiturate. So she is still alive but taken by, as you call them, The shadows"

"Yes that is correct.. "

Said jake in a disappointing tone. His head hung low, feeling a crash of guilt for amy.

Holt looked at him. Noticing how sad he was feeling.

"Jake your sadness has been noted. But you did the best you can. It's not over, we will find them."

Raymond got up and lifted his notebook and pen

"Thank you for your consecutive time"

He left the room with jake all alone. Jake couldn't stop seeing the image of her still face and her blood on his hands, he lifted his hand up and couldn't see any traces of blood... But he could still feel it. He wanted to get out and go somewhere fresh and quiet.

He then remembered that amy and him used to go up to the roof and admire the sun ahead and drink orangina or as amy called it "orange soda". That's where he wanted to go where their peaceful memories sat, waiting to be remade with her presence.

Jake got up and made his way to the bullpen, grabbing the remainder of the orange soda in the fridge. Taylor noticed jake walking out of the precinct with out a word, she knew that he was upset about Amy.

Jake sat on the roof, sitting on a bench that him and amy placed for their comfy sky watching. Ahead was the black sky and the stars shining vividly. He sipped his drink, enjoying the quietness to his own thoughts.

Where could she be?

"Hey jakey..."

He turned around to see taylor holding two cold beers and making her way towards him. Jake admired the blonde woman in front. He never saw her properly in her police gear, until now and she was stunning. Jake smiled and moved across the bench for her.

"I saw you coming up here... So I brought you a little something."

Taylor said, while opening the lids on the cold bottles and handed one to him.

"Thanks Tay"

"Oh! Haven't heard that nickname in a long time." she giggled.

Jake just nodded. Looking in the other direction

"Rough day, huh?"

"I just didn't protect her. She is gone because of my cause."

Taylor secretly rolled her eyes.

"Listen jake, your a police officer and so is she. I'm sure she is also capable of her own protection too. You always talk about her... Sounds like you have a crush."

"What? No. She is just a close friend... "

Taylor raised her eyebrow.

"sure.. Anyway, we will find her. Talking about her will make things worse."

"I guess your right"

She then nudged him on the arm

"That's the spirit! Now cheer up, I hate this dull jake"

He then laughed and lifted his head, making contact with her eyes. Her deep blue eyes. They were a gorgeous crystal blue. He remembers them just like in high school, and he would always get lost in her enchanted blue eyes. He finally snapped back to the world.
