A yowl went through the air. I recognized Bluefur" Out of camp! There's a fire! " Father whispered"A fire is dreaded by all. We have to run! " He ran out with me following. All cats were deserted from the clearing. I looked around, panicked. Fire was everywhere, and I couldn't breathe. Another yowl went through the air, it was Father! "Blazekit? Blazekit! Come here!" I yowled as loud as I could" I cant! I'm trapped! " The smoke was taking away my vision and I fell into blackness.

I woke up with stinging in my forleg, and after a few seconds I felt pain in my body. I whimpered, and a pure black cat with a single white spot on her forehead said loudly"She's awake! " I got on my feet and slumped to a sitting position. "No Blazekit. Lie down, you need rest" I layed back down. My fur was gone. Only a clump on my paw remained, and it was black. I picked it, and it was gone to. Father and Mother appeared at my side. "Oh Blazekit, I'm sorry. I should have stayed with you" whispered Father in my ear. I said weakly" It fine" My eyes drooped, but Rather announced "We have to go to Snowclan. There the nicest clan to us right now, they should help us. Let's go" He picked me up and started north. All the cats followed.

We made it to a river, and swam across. "I'm never leaving you again, for as long as your a kit." I nodded slightly, and I shivered. My fur was gone, and I had nothing to protect me from the freezing water. We came ashore and walked farther. We came upon a area with cats. " We need your help! Fire has swept through our camp! " said father as he set me down. Darkness went on my head again, and I slumped on the floor.
