Jimin closed his eyes as he took off his old band-aid and switched it for a fresh one.

He placed it on his wrist, covering his mark.

He sighed once it was done and his small mark was invisible.

Everyone had a mark. It was usually small and typically appeared on an arm, but sometimes people got them in different places, like their ankle or thigh.

Jimin's was on his wrist, just off to the side. He started covering it back when he was twelve as it was first forming. He'd never seen it pass that. No one had.

Marks were signs. Only one person in the world would have the same mark as you. They were your destined partner for life.

But Jimin didn't want that. He wanted to find someone, fall in love on the off chance and be happy. After all, some people never meet their destined one.

Sometimes he wonders what his mark looks like and is tempted to look, but he knows he'd regret it in the long run. He'd rather be happy and oblivious than sad and knowing.

"Jimin, you're gonna be late again! Let's go!" His mom yelled.

He let out another heavy sigh and grabbed his bag from his desk chair before rushing down to meet his mom and brother by the front door. "Sorry, Momma."

She reached out and touched his cheek, giving him a small smile. "Call me if something happens. I can come get you today, I'm off work."

Jimin was able to smile at that and nodded. "Okay, love you."

"Love you. Jihyunie, hug Momma."

Jihyun threw his arms around her middle, head resting on her shoulder. He was sixteen as of last week and his eighteen year old, big brother couldn't be more proud.

"Alright, get going you two. Have a good day."

"Bye Momma," they chorused as they left the house.

"Are you okay, Hyung?" Jihyun asked once the door shut.

"Fine, why?"

Jihyun shrugged, "You were slow in the shower."

Jimin smiled and threw his arm around the younger, "I love you."

Jihyun blushed, but didn't push him away. "Love you, too."

"Chim!"

Jimin turned around just in time to catch his best friend as he barreled into him.

"Chimmy Chim Chim," Taehyung giggled as he picked Jimin up off the concrete.

"Morning Taetae." Jimin giggled back, patting the taller's head.

"I missed you, how are you?"

"It's been a day, Taehyung. I'm still fine."

"Good," Taehyung put him down and grabbed his hand. He swayed their arms as they walked into the school yard, heading towards their normal group of friends, who were accompanied by a not so usual face.

"Hoseok-hyung!" Tae yelled as they approached.

"Hey!" He smiled, moving to hug them both. "How are you guys?"

"See Tae, he can ask that because we haven't seen him in three months." Jimin smirked.

Taehyung stuck his tongue out at him and rolled his eyes.
