Jungkook's breath stopped before his brain and he ended up coughing as Jimin stepped out onto his front porch.
Jimin, being the more cautious one of the two, hurried to make sure he was okay, his shirt coming up as he reached up to pat Jungkook's back.
"I'm...I'm fine," Kook nodded, eyes raking over the sweater that was made to look ripped and tattered. It didn't seem like Jimin had anything on under it either, which didn't help. "You...You look good."
"Oh," Jimin blushed and took a step back, "Thank you." Jimin let himself look over Jungkook's outfit: a black tee, bomber jacket, jeans, and timberlands. "You look good, too."
"Thanks....um...we should head out."
"Yeah," Jimin squeaked, moving to shut the front door back. "I'm ready when you are."
"Jungkook, promise me you'll stay close, okay?"
The younger grinned to himself before reaching over to hold Jimin's hand. "I promise. I don't think there'll be too many people anyway. It was sort of a last minute plan."
"That's good."
As predicted, there were only a few small groups scattered around Jaehyun's living room and a large group gathered in the kitchen around the snacks.
All in all, maybe 60 people were there.
"Is it too much?" Jungkook pulled Jimin's attention to him by tugging on his sweater sleeve.
"N-Not right now. I'm fine right now."
"Okay. Just say the word and we can leave," the younger said, making Jimin lock eyes with him so his point came across clearly.
"Alright. Let's get a drink and then we can find your friends."
"Mkay. Do you drink a lot?"
"Not a lot, but I know what I like."
"Okay," Kook smiled, wrapping his arm around Jimin's waist and pulling him into his side. "Stay close remember?"
Jimin blushed before nodding, biting his lip and putting his arm around Jungkook's waist as well.
Jungkook couldn't help but smile at the way Jimin easily interacted with Yujin. He seemed to be more comfortable with girls, since he barely talked to the guys gathered in their little circle on the floor.
Jaehyun kept trying to get under Jungkook's skin by making comments about how adorable Jimin is every five minutes. Jimin would blush and huddle further into his boyfriend's side.
Everything was going well; drinks weren't heavy, but their spirits were light and everyone seemed to be having a good time.
Which is why Jimin tried to fight the rising panic in his throat. Why he got up to go the bathroom and never came back.
He knew Jungkook was probably worried and was storming the house looking for him. He couldn't make himself stand, though. His legs were jelly and his breaths were totally uneven. He felt like he was drowning while sitting in the middle of the bathroom floor.
When the door flew open, he jolted, but somehow he was grateful for the calm that washed through him once Jungkook was holding him again.
"I got so worried, baby. I just knew you were having an attack. I'm so sorry I didn't notice sooner. We can go, it's alright-"
"No...you...stay....your friends-"
"They'll understand. I promise. Let's get you home. You'll feel better in your bed."
