He ran his fist through her abdomen, his gunbai fan long forgotten after punching it out of his hands. She looked down at his arm, the hole in her stomach sending waves of pain through her body that made her legs weak. His elbow stopped at the entrance he'd made.

She whispered her self-made jutsu that was to be used as a last resort when she was useless, now was the perfect time to use it. She felt Madara plunge his other hand that she didn't have a hold on into her chest, but it was already too late. The jutsu has been activated and nothing could stop it now, not even her death.

Sakura sat on Gaara's bed and looked at him, regret filling her instantly. All she could see was her Gaara, the Gaara she failed to save. He glared at her and the moment was ruined.

He clutched his beaten up teddy bear closer to his chest. Sakura honestly didn't know how to take care of a kid. She'd always been busy saving lives to even consider a child. She took a breath.

Reincarnation was just a theory. It wasn't a proven fact but it was something I strongly believed in. I'd always liked the idea of being reincarnated, even if you couldn't keep your memories.

But that was the good thing. Reincarnation was reincarnation of the soul, not the mind or body, so it was like basically starting anew. Finding new love, making new memories, having new experiences. I longed for all of that.

So, as I laid there in the snow, the little girl next to me holding my waist so tight I found it hard to breathe, I felt uncomfortable. I don't remember why, but I've always been scared of the cold and dreaded human contact.

So much that I began crying, holding her tighter as something warm slid down our bodies like rain drops, the scream she previously let out still echoing in my empty throbbing head from when she pulled me down with her, and the warmth becoming cold and unforgiving as the wind picked up.
