They hurried back to the palace.
“You know Wakalan San?” Bellanator asked as they all sat sipping tea. He was cautious. He had to report all this back to his master.
“Yes.” She smiled. “Are you not all from the San Clan that was given as gifts to the Li household?
“How do you know of our identity?” His eyes sharp. He did not trust her. Only the Li’s direct family bloodline had servants from the San. It nagged at him how easily he had been given away. Li’s never gave their servants away unless it their own. Their own Li Blood Family.
“The empress is a Li.” Wakalan San replied.
Bellanator San froze that would mean.
“The emperor is my brother.” She said quite wearily. He stumbled back. This, did anyone not know?
