He was at loss for words. He looked up. She was sitting in her chair with the aura of an empress surrounding her. Baobao had buried himself into her side. She rubbed his head fondly and hummed.

She smiled. There was no malice in them. Baobao stuffed his cheeks with the dumpling on hand till it was bulging. She patted his face and fawned over such cuteness. Her attention on him. Then she looked to him, Bellanator San. He blinked.

“Empress. Forgive this servant, but Concubines Yao does not put you in her eyes. Does one need to kill her?” He bowed, more respectful then before, reminding her of the threat on hand.

Lazily cocking her head to the right she gazed at him before replying. “Do you need to you? She is not important. A mere ant in my eyes. A tool to be used to keep Zhen busy. One must be smarter than an animal if one is to keep another under her control.” Her eyes narrowed. A killing glint reflected in them. A smile that was not a smile stretched across those cherry lips. It spelled death on anyone that saw it, and bad karma to follow in one’s footsteps. Bellanator San shivered. He was glad it wasn’t directed at him.

She was a threat to all women. His master had sent him to her. It was like a message to her. Yet here in her courts. He, Zhen’s servant, was nothing. She could control him if she wanted. He was at her mercy.

He bowed.

“This empress needs to rest.” With that she stood. Baobao giggled as she took his hand. They vanished into the gardens.

Bellanaotor froze when Wakalan San appeared before him.

“Empress is merciful to one. If one betrays her, then slave does not need to live anymore.” He said, then vanished.

Bellanator San froze. The hairs on his skin rising at the death tone ringing in his voice. He knew Wakalan San was would kill him if he betrayed the Empress regardless of  his worth to the Emperor. He sighed as Wakalan San left the room. He had to be careful or he would end up dead or very dead.
